Revenge Midseason Finale

It's been a rough season for Once Upon A Time and Revenge.  Ratings for both shows have declined significantly this season. Will they be able to change their fortunes with their midseason finales? Once Upon A Time features the denouement of the Peter Pan storyline, while Revenge reveals who shot Emily at the Red Sharpie Wedding. Last week Once Upon A Time scored a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating while Revenge earned a 1.6.  How do you think the shows will fare tonight?

  • Douglas from Brazil

    OUAT: 2.3;
    Revenge:1.8.

    These shows are dead.NO way they can recover from now.Expect final 4th seasons for both.

  • Douglas from Brazil

    OUAT: 2.2;
    Revenge: 1.7.

    They’re dead.Expect 4th final seasons for both.

    OUAT: 2.3
    Revenge: 1.9/2.0 (it could also be a 1.8, but I decided to be optimistic)

  • Fred

    Well OUAT is out of Neverland and last weeks cliffhanger was riveting so Im expecting a slight bump. Hoping for a 2.4 but most likely a 2.3.
    Revenge is airing the most anticipated ep in along time. I wish for a 2.0 but probably a 1.8.

  • THE OLD MAN

    Went with the majority at this point & voted 2.1-2.2 OUAT and 1.6-1.7 REV

  • Dude

    OUAT: 2.2
    Revenge: 1.8

  • Matt M.

    Im going optimistic with this one, considering there’s no serious competition on tonight for either of these shows. Although I don’t think Revenge will crack a 2.0 yet, I think it will do so when it returns in the spring…

    Once Upon A Time: 2.4 / 7.6 million viewers
    Revenge: 1.9 / 6.5 million viewers

    @Eliot
    I don’t know if people on here are familiar with maths, you know – rounding?
    If a number is 0.4 away it rounds down.
    0.5+ you round up.

    That’s only one of many ways of rounding 0.5. It happens to be a very common method, mostly due to being taught in grade school, but it’s not the only way to do it (nor the best, as ideally 0.5 should round up only 50% of the time).

    In any case, it’s irrelevant in this case; Once Upon a Time had 2.735 million viewers in A18-49 last week, which is a rating of 2.161.

    @Joseph
    Once both the NFL season and the Winter Olympics end, it will be much easier for broadcast shows on Sunday nights to draw viewers.

    Spring has a much more detrimental effect on ratings than football does.

    How can you post here so often and yet know so little about TV ratings?

    My predictions:

    America’s Funniest Home Videos 1.5
    Once Upon A Time 2.3
    Revenge 1.8
    Betrayal 0.9

    Survivor Blood vs Water 2.7
    Survivor Reunion 2.2

    The Simpsons 2.9
    Bob’s Burgers 2.2
    Family Guy 2.6
    American Dad 2.1

    Sunday Night Football 6.3

    I have a bad feeling that the phrase “Peter Pan never fails” means tonight’s episode doesn’t mean the end of Peter Pan. Peter Pan is like a cockroach. Once you think you got rid of the pest, more returns. Once Upon A Time should have a slight boost even if Peter Pan’s story isn’t concluded tonight.

    In tonight’s episode of Revenge, a “surprise” person will shoot Emily. My first suspect was Aiden because he is in the conspiracy to frame Victoria for Emily’s “murder.” Aiden would simply shoot blanks at Emily and the police will blame Victoria. The writers want a surprise for this episode.

    The problem for the Revenge writers is that the summer show Whodunnit thought that they could surprise viewers by having a female killer (Cris). I’m thinking a woman shoots Emily. The shooter is either Victoria, Charlotte, Margaux, or Sara. I’m going with Charlotte.

    If Scandal can increase 0.2 to reach a 3.2 for the midseason finale, then Revenge should also jump 0.2 to reach a 1.8 for tonight’s episode.

    I honestly don’t have a clue. How much of an NFL overrun was there on CBS and FOX? Could these routinely “unplanned” overruns this year be partially responsible for the declines on the only network not showing football on Sunday? Gridiron typically doesn’t compete with fairy tales and female centric soaps but if big daddy is controlling the remote, it could be DVR to the rescue for the kiddies and the mommies trying to get their “Once Upon A Time” and “Revenge” freak on. I believe both Revenge and Once Upon have shown some robust (and meaningless) DVR growth this year like many shows across all networks, much to the chagrin of network suits.

    According to Nielsen, year to date this Fall, ABC has beaten NBC, CBS and FOX in C3 18-49 ratings (when sports are excluded) so it’s not all doom and gloom for the alphabet network. Let’s not forget NBC prime time (Wednesdays and Thursdays) when Sunday Night Football and The Voice is not on. Just about everything that is not The Big Bang Theory or NCIS on CBS is down double digits this year, too.

    Both Once Upon a Time and Revenge had excellent episodes. Robert Carlyle was brilliant tonight. Anyways, I’m hoping that these are the results.

    Once Upon a Time: 2.3 demo
    Revenge 1.8

    WOW Revenge was amazing! so shocking! i didn’t think they would take such a risk, but they did and it is so satisfying! I had a guess it would be [SPOILER] and i’m glad i was right. It completely changes everything and adds so much more depth to the story.

  • Ram510

    Judging by seeing how so many people are commenting in the OUAT mid season finale (which means nothing) id guess that OUAT will get about a 2.4-2.5, Revenge maybe a 1.7-1.8

    Just 2 weeks ago OUAT was up to a 2.3 so I expect it to exceed that

  • Ram510

    Oops I mean last week it had a 2.2 Before adjustments which was a rise of 3 tenths. I’m sure it can do it again

  • KevinY

    Was thinking of several scenario’s of how that Revenge episode would end but the ultimate result was NOTHING I could’ve predicted.

  • Fred

    Anybody who gave up on OUAT and Revenge should try and catch up.
    Both are the road to greatness again.

  • were123

    Both OUAT and Revenge were amazing last night! I hope ratings for both are high, they deserve it after such great episode
