As much as I enjoy Grimm , I doubt the second episode got better numbers than the first one. So a 1.2 for the whole two hours had to be helped by the first episode lifting the total number.

Hahahahah @Carrie where are the fans at?

Claiming it will adjust up what a joke

‘The Carrie Diaries’ got a 0.4 W18-34 in the finals, which it’s had three times this season, but so have both ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘The Tomorrow People’ which have both finished with 0.4 W18-34 five times each this season.

So on the money demographic, not the best, but not anything worst than ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘The Tomorrow People’ managed to attract on higher-HUT Monday and Wednesdays.

What really did ‘The Carrie Diaries’ and ‘Nikita’ in on Fridays was the collapse of the M18-34 demographic (both series hit 0.0 M18-34, series lows for both). Since there was no big sports game being televised on Friday night, that had to be caused in part by the opening of THE HOBBIT.

When you look at who delivered W18-34 CMPs last week most efficiently, ‘The Carrie Diaries’ was third of six:

1st ‘The Vampire Diaries’ $118 cost per W18-34 thousand
    2nd ‘Reign’ $139
    3rd ‘The Carrie Diaries’ $174
    4th ‘Arrow’ $202
    5th ‘The Tomorrow People’ $302
    6th ‘Nikita’ $378

Mr. Mark Pedowitz will be able to get through the 2013-14 season without having to deliver makegoods to W18-34 advertisers for ‘The Carrie Diaries’. Not all other series on The CW can say the same.

‘The Carrie Diaries’ is still de facto renewed in my books, and only because she (and ‘ANTM’) have proven through performance that they can deliver young women on a Friday night.

Go away psycho. I don’t care how many different names you use, your sick obsession identifies you. Everyone recognizes it and ignores you. No one believes you are different people. Stop naming me. It creeps me out.

Mike1 explained why in an earlier post. I had the same question.

I am going to throw something out there because it always bothers me. When fans say they don’t understand how the ratings weren’t higher for “said” episode because it was so great I have to say.
How do viewers who aren’t watching the episode live KNOW AHEAD OF TIME that an episode is great? You have to be WATCHING the episode live to know that.
I agree. H50 had its best episode possibly ever on Friday but people don’t know that ahead of time.
I think the only way to see if an episode brings in more viewers is to watch the ratings for the next new episode and see if people watched their DVRS and liked it enough to watch the next new episode of the show.
IMO I believe if an episode is great, once people have watched it,it will be reflected in the FOLLOWING new episode because people will want to see more of the same. If the following episode is below par, they will lose those potential new viewers. You have to have steady good episodes to grow viewership.
This is true for all shows.

Hi there Randy. Yes it’s true what you write and i ghave a feeling this episode was DVR much – I’m curious of +7 ratings – they will explain a lot.

@Mark Woods how do you know TCD got 0.19?

I never said or implied otherwise.

It will be interesting to see what happens with H50 after that episode. However, we won’t really know until after the Xmas break because H50 has no competition this coming Friday and so the ratings won’t really be an accurate assessment.
If H50 has another good episode, it will help. But if it doesn’t, then by the time all the shows return with new shows, it might not have an affect.
New viewers need a steady diet to get hook. And with the holidays and with viewer memory sadly short term, who knows what will happen?

I hope both my shows, including Grimm, go up after Xmas. But I have learned not to raise my hopes. It is what it is.

Have a great week, Anna! See you on the next thread. :-)

Travis Yanan, who used to publish detailed ratings data for pifeedback, publishes 18-49 to the second decimal point, which is hugely helpful with the CW, as their ratings can be so low that a difference of a tenth can be dramatic.

Oh and just because its evil, on Friday SPN managed on cable with has a smaller share of the public then the CW reaches managed to get .5 adults 18-49 in reruns.

That should make the ratings on Friday for the CW look even worse.

If you are interested here are Carrie 18-49 to two decimal points for this season.

And with two decimal points you can see how Reign (A show I don’t like) actually is doing better) vas Tomorrow People (even without having to go into adults 18-34, that Beauty & the Beast is doing worse then Carrie Dairies, ect.

While “The Naighbors” weren’t a ha-ha show, it was extremely entertaining. I can’t believe they wouldn’t find a better time slot.
