In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night:

  • In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 3.0/8; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.2/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.

  • In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 0.9/5; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.

  • From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

  • From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.5/5 in metered-market households with an encore telecast) beat CBS's first-run "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4).  In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast. For more information see Numbers 101 and Numbers 102.

  • BlueTahoe

Mike and Molly returned to it’s original format and this was the funniest episode since it’s return. I hope they stay with the old format. The new format was I Love Lucy “lite” and not as funny.

  • LisaM

I can only hope Almost Human survives because it’s on Fox.

    ABC’s numbers may be inflated?

If numbers hold, not good for ABC

NBC still will win night night w/ The Voice, Singoff combo

Depressing numbers for CBS as most of sked hits season lows

Big OUCH for AH & Chrismas fare on FOX

Grandma Got Run Over & VS does about what CW usually does on Mon

  • Ram510

I hope Mom continues to hit series lows. It’s not a good show and doesn’t deserve to be above a 2.0

    @ r0ckmypants

    Thanks for the LOL!

  • Ram510

Why did CBS chose to air repeats last week instead of new episodes. Why wait a week later in December when your just going to go right back into repeats the next week because of the holiday

  • Networkman

Last week Mike & Molly was the only original episode airing amongst a sea of repeats. So, of course it was going to rise this week. Everything else was down. I’m still not happy about Almost Human having to lead off the night in December against The Voice. I really hope FOX is patient with this show. I would love for it to air on Friday night after Bones. I feel it is stupid for FOX to premiere Enlisted on Friday.

Anyways, I wish FOX would move up the premiere of Gang Related. This show should be airing after American Idol on Thursday and Rake should debut on Monday @8pm.

  • Timmy G

@Ram510, that does seem more logical but I like more original episodes later in December so I’m glad HIMYM was on last night. Best episodes of this season have featured the mother. I actually wish the CW would program into the third week of December too especially since their seasons are shorter now. In fact, I think the CW shows could afford to start late October instead, run 7-8 episodes then go off just briefly for Christmas and then return in Jan with all new episodes for the rest of the season.

  • AdWhois

What the hell? Why such a huge drop for Almost Human, thought it was stabilizing. Still the best show on TV IMO, think Fox screwed it up by showing the episodes out of order and also pitting it against Monday Night Football, they are fighting for the same audience….

  • Networkman

I wonder if CBS would consider only having 1 hour of comedy on Monday next season. They then could debut the spinoff of HIMYM on Thursday and move 2 Broke Girls to Monday night as well.

    8pm The Millers
    8:30pm Mike & Molly
    9pm NCIS:LA
    10pm Intelligence

8pm How I Met Your Father
    8:30pm 2 Broke Girls
    9pm Big Bang Theory
    9:30pm New Comedy

@peelit I don’t see many “sad little Bones fans” lately. It’s doing better than expected on Friday and from what little we can interpret from Fox they seem to be very happy with it. Bones never, never, never got a 1.6 on a Monday or any other day, excepting Friday. Yes, life is good when we look at Almost Human’s ratings.

  • Britney Spear through your heart

    Almost human is DOA..

  • RJC

The Voice is visibly slipping and the fact that it might get adjusted down is even worse. It goes without saying that NBC needs to start succession planning on this one.

  • HeadlessHorseman

How is a 1.6 DOA? Do people even know what DOA means?

  • HeadlessHorseman

Clarification: I know what DOA means but the way I see it, DOA should only be used for series or season premieres.

  • Nikki

Hostages wasnt a repeat last week. They are airing new episodes through the holidays.

  • Ultima

I’ll never understand why CBS comedies take a week off and then air a new episode, then take an other week off and then air another new ep.

CBS hasn’t done that with their comedies in nearly two years (January 2012). Seems like a pretty random complaint.

  • peelit

Bones got 1.9s while paired with a legit hit like The Following last year. It wouldn’t be getting a 1.6 because, like the show itself, its fans prob take comfort in timeslot predicability but it would be getting 1.8s. And yeah Fox is happy with it. Shows been on autopilot for years, so the fact that its beating 40 year old cartoons and reality clip shows on Fridays prob has them pumped. They may also be okay with the bump in 18-34 male demo AH has given them vs. Bones so far. The procedural was always safe (despite being less valuable than The Mindy Project, one of the lowest rated shows on Fox). Guess people who want to be outraged will find reason.

  • akqueza

    cbs mondays look bad…

  • Ultima

    Almost human is DOA..

It’s dead on arrival even though it premiered a month ago?

DOA should only be used for series or season premieres

I think it’s acceptable to use it for timeslot premieres as well.
