@ike…..I agree its just over the top for the bitter poi fans to wish it goes in the tank. If you don’t like it anymore just stop watching it and let it go. I loved Carter but she isn’t coming back. Yes it sucks but I have moved on. The fact that this season 3 midseason exit was planned from the day she signed on to do the show gives me great solace. I too have great respect for this great show. I still believe there is more growth ratings wise. It just needs to get moved back to Thurs where there is a more youthful audience watching.

While Harold and John have always been the main characters, they never really did everything alone. They always had help.

I liked the Carter and could understand why some people are upset that she is gone and that the show is trying to replace her in the fan’s hearts with the other characters. Shaw and the crazy chick just don’t compare to Carter… but, it is not enough for “me” to stop watching. Everyone has the freedom to make their own choices. This is my choice. And, I do understand that you never told anyone to stop watching.

I don’t believe that the dip in ratings this week is not tied to the loss of Carter but due to scheduling it a week before Christmas.

I never said that Oliver killing less people is making the show suffer. He is still kicking ass and we all like to see that.

But, they are growing his character to be a super hero instead of just a vigilante. Remember, by the time Oliver came to Smallville, he was a superhero, not just a killer.

For the people jumping up and down about POI’s ratings, I’d still say this show is in trouble.

I don’t understand the vehemence of the hardcore Carterites.

Taraji Henson knew all along that her character had a limited shelf-life. Listen to the interviews Taraji has given, that is basically why she took the job in the first place. She wouldn’t have locked herself into a TV show when she felt her time horizon to work on movies was limited. So to say she was somehow discarded like refuse is pure bunk.

  • Siami

The producers said all of the actors were told that their characters weren’t safe from the beginning, not just Taraji P. Henson. They were all given the impression that their character could go at any time, and the producers have gone on to say that they’ll likely kill them all off.

Taraji P. Henson said she, like the other actors, took the job knowing that was the case because that was the condition set by the producers and she was okay with that. The producers chose her time of exit and the way in which it happened. That cannot be denied. I think that’s what many people are upset about. So, I wouldn’t call that “pure bunk.”

At all people saying POI is dead after Carter…. I don’t know.

All I can say is Bishop is a million times more charismatic, funny, engaging than Ziva ever was — and I LIKED Ziva — truly. But I fell in love with Bishop at first sight. She’s everything I could ever hope for from a replacement! And, sorry to disappoi9nt, the show has only gotten better!

  • Stupid Flanders

    Woohoo POI!

I’m sick of people bitching and moaning about Carter being gone. Taraji did not want to stay long term on the show (she said it herself on Letterman). Anyone who say that they want the show to go off b/c Carter is gone is A) full of sour grapes and B)were never a true fan of the show (you were/are a fan of Taraji but not POI itself.)
