  • Jeff (Canada)

Wow that’s early. I figured it would end in the middle of May.

  • Choco

What? Well basically there won’t be any more repeats after it returns on January but I thought they would stretch it until May.

  • Ryan T

    Little/no repeats will be fantastic.

And I’m sure CBS is itching to get some traction on a new comedy show ASAP.

  • Valentin

They should announce their mid-season schedule. But kind of worried about 2 Broke Girls and feeling sad that How I Met Your Mother will leave so soon!

  • Mike

This is a disgrace to the fans from day 1, you don’t end a series in a non sweeps month.

  • Timmy G

Wow huge surprise that HIMYM will end in March. I guess this means it’s only off for two weeks when the olympics are on. I thought they were rushing through the season really fast. Nice that there will be hardly any repeats though.

  • r0ckmypants

@Mike – “This is a disgrace to the fans from day 1, you don’t end a series in a non sweeps month.”

What casual fan gives a crap about which month the show ends in? Would you rather there be 6 more weeks of repeats to complain about?

  • Mitchell

    @Valentin

This is their midseason schedule. Every other night is pretty much staying the same.

  • SVU: Hannibal

Well I guess Happy Belated Bday to me, that’s the day after I turn 24. But, MARCH!??!! CBS really needs to take a hard look at rushing Millers, Crazy Ones or 2BG off the air since they still have Bad Teacher to run before summer. (Personally I would rush 2.5 Men off the air then run Bad Teacher after Crazy Ones after The Final Four ends.)

  • landale

The disgrace to fans is all of Season 9 which has been one of the most awful seasons of television in recent memory. The show should have ended last season.

  • Timmy G

@landale, I wouldn’t go that far, but the episodes without the mother have been pretty terrible. And she’s been in what, 4 episodes? But those episodes have been great. I’m probably being overly generous but I’d give this season a C+/B- grade.

  • Dan S

Where the heck is Bad Teacher ? I’m guessing they’ll want to pair it with Crazy 1’s on Thur since both are single cam. Only ? Is should it lead off at 9pm since C1’s has lost so much traction. I feel Intelligence should be on Tues @ 9pm & move NCIS:LA to Mon at 10pm.

  • Charmed

It annoys me when shows end at season 9, first OTH now HIMYM…. 10 would have been a good number to end on

  • swc316

I hope they end Two and A Half Men early and put Bad Teacher in its spot. I guess this wont be the last season for TAAHM or we would have gotten a final season announcement already.

  • TvLover

Can anybody explain me how the hell Intelligence can / will do better than Hostages against Castle and The Blacklist ? Intelligence needs really be extraordinary to challenge against them.

  • r0ckmypants

@TvLover – “Can anybody explain me how the hell Intelligence can / will do better than Hostages against Castle and The Blacklist ? Intelligence needs really be extraordinary to challenge against them.”

I think, personally, Intelligence seems more accessible than Hostages. There’s not the over political angle to it like Hostages had, and it may attract viewers who are less willing to commit to a serialized story. Plus, Intelligence premiering on a special night after a new episode of NCIS, so CBS is trying to get eyeballs on it.

  • Oliver

Strange scheduling. 2 Broke Girls is going to struggle at 8, and why put the second week of a new show after a repeat? Seems strange not to make a retrospective for the biggest sitcom to end since Raymond.

Wonder what they will do with Bad Teacher.

  • F21

I’m kind of worried about 2 Broke Girls, Mike & Molly and Mom without HIMYM and if FWBL don’t be a hit, CBS should care about them

  • ATXCountry

As a HIMYM fan from the beginning, I’m excited for this announcement. There have been very few repeat episodes this season (I can only think of two) and with the show wrapping up in March, there should only be two weeks of repeats during the Olympics. The show is moving at a glacial pace, stretching it out with 6 more weeks of repeats would be torture.

  • omabin

That’s an early ending date but it does make sense that if they were to end one series earlier it was the one that is not coming back instead of giving one of the returnees a huge hiatus. I am not sure about how I feel about Friends with Better Lives schedule though. I think it would be perfect to follow How I Met Your Mother permanently, not just once. I don’t know what type of lead-in 2 Broke Girls will be able to provide by then, I think it will be in the high 1s. I was hoping Friends had gotten The Millers slot instead. Too bad. I assume Bad Teacher is summer burn-off then since there was no announcement about it?
