Duck Dynasty Cast

PETA has jumped on the bandwagon condemning Duck Dynasty after some controversial remarks by star Phil Robertson and has called on A&E to cancel the entire series, releasing the following statement:

PETA wants A&E to do more than suspend one of the characters on Duck Dynasty for damning gays. We call on the channel to challenge the entire crew of duck slayers to ignore Sarah Palin’s self-serving slap on the back for spewing hate speech and deny that they are as anti-gay as they are anti-animal. All people who consider themselves followers of Christ should follow all His teachings—and that includes showing mercy, compassion, and kindness to all of God’s creation, human and nonhuman alike. What’s ‘sinful’ is hating people and animals. PETA asks everyone who consider themselves to be Christian to reject hate speech and call for this show’s cancellation

Could someone please place the members of the Robinson Family and PETA on a boat and sink it so we don’t have to hear about them at all since this is thd dumbest thing I have ever read.

  • diegobitch

I don’t watch the show, and I think it will not be cancelled because its the highest rated unscripted show on cable ever, but if they really say anti-gay or anti-animal things, I condemn them too.

  • Miranda Rex

diegobitch, agreed even though I don’t watch the show even though it is the highest rated unscripted show in the history of cable ever, but if they truely say anti-gay or anti-animal things, I condemn them as well.

  • Don Barefoot

The fact you say unscripted made me laugh at loud because it is all completely staged no matter what they call it. As a proud gay man I could not stand the show from the beginning.

  • Moses

I think that PETA has lost touch with reality, and demands too much.

    M R ducks
    M R not
    O S A R
    C M wangs?
    L I B! M R ducks

    And ducks are delicious!

Sorry PETA but you lose again. If you wanted this show canceled you should have been attacking it right from the moment it first aired, not when they finally have a bad spotlight lit on them. I hope they announce the renewal of it tomorrow just to show PETA that they have no right to demand such things.

The comments said by Phil Robertson obviously don’t reflect those of the other people on the show or the network, everyone knows this.

I don’t watch Duck Dynasty, and I never will, but I hate PETA. Keep the show on the air just to spite them.

  • TRON2012

Sarah Palin is Our Great American LEADER and HERO….

  • robin

LOL whatever gets this crap off the air im all for it

  • TRON2012

I support Sarah Palin and Duck Dynasty(Phil Robertson and his family)….

I have to agree that PETA has lost their marbles on this one.

I’m all for the ethical treatment of animals. I’m all for LGBT rights and I understand why A&E suspended Phil; I agree with the decision. I still have all love and respect for Phil though, I wish I had a grandpa as cool and laid back as him; but at the end of the day, the man is a hard core christian, and in that respect they’re all crazy as hell to begin with.

At any rate, there is nothing unethical about eating animals or hunting ducks. As far as PETA trying to bring up all that bible crap; it’s utter nonsense! People were not only eating meat in the bible, they were sacrificing goats left and right. What do they think happened on the passover?! God went around Egypt killing all of the first born males except in the houses where everybody ate roasted lamb and smeared its blood all over their front door! But ya, the bible totally talked about not “hating on animals”.

As usual, crazy PETA just looking for some coverage.

I hate Duck Dynasty, but really PETA? Way to put yourself into the news so people remember you exist.

  • DryedMangoez

So the show has been on for more than a year, but they decide to ride along the media train. Not helping your cause PETA!

  • Carmen

PETA will basically do anything or say anything to try to make themselves relevant.

I honestly believe that some of the PETA fanatics would protest the elimination of encephalitis mosquitos on the grounds of animal cruelty.

  • Survivor Fan

I have never seen Duck Dynasty, but I HATE PETA (and all of their far-left coalition). I almost want to watch it just to spite PETA.

  • merrranga

“Way to put yourself into the news so people remember you exist.”

same is true for palin and any other public figure who ‘comes out’ for or against.

this is all just a big spotlight grab.

  • Jagger Dagger

You know its getting bizarrely stupid when both PETA and Sarah Palin have joined the mix.

  • LISA

WHATS WRONG WITH YOU GUYS PETAS A ANIMAL RIGHTS GROUP OF COURSE THEY WANT THIS NASTY SHOW CANCELLED.ARE YOU GUYS JUST DUMB OR REALLY MEAN SPIRITED.ALSO YES MOST PEOPLE THAT ARE REALLY NASTY TO ANIMALS ARE PRETTY CRAPPY PEOPLE IN GENERAL.THEY ARE JUST MAKING THAT CONNECTION,DO YOU GUYS REALLLY NOT GET IT.WHY WOULDNT PETA TAKE A MOMENT TO JOIN FORCES TO GET THIS UNEVOLVED SHOW CANCELLED.DUHH

“All people who consider themselves followers of Christ should follow all His teachings—and that includes showing mercy, compassion, and kindness to all of God’s creation, human and nonhuman alike.”

Funny but PETA, HRC, GLADD, etc. was pretty darned silent when the coalition of African American churches sponsored robo calls and radio advertisements this spring to stop the passage of Illinois’ equal marriage act. (They were so successful that the could not even bring to floor despite Democratic majorities across both chambers. It’s rather pathetic.

  • PartyLikeaPumpkin

Seriously,PETA? Trying to get attention, are we? Please go have a seat. Thank you
