Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast. For more information see Numbers 101and Numbers 102.

Decent viewership for Celine Dion, but CBS had to know it wouldn’t do well in the demo. She’s old enough to be a grandmother! The fact that a Jingle Bells special on the CW matched its demo has to be embarrassing!

  • Will

IF EVER there was a case for why ABC should move The Goldbergs to Wed this is it! A rerun after a rerun of The Middle got almost the same ratings a new ep gets on its regular night! Just imagine if both were new! C’mon ABC: NO BRAINER!

    *grumble grumble*

  • Frost

Yea, Wednesdays on ABC should be Middle, Goldbergs, MF and Suburgatory.

  • Samunto

Leave Celine Dion alone or else…….!

Goldbergs fits perfect to Wed 8:30 but ABC wants to have a solid comedy on Tuesdays and so they keep it there to keep some traction.

  • Ted Craig

With all this Goldbergs talk, let’s remember that ABC is returning one of its stronger shows to Wednesday night.

  • DW

    wow at those dion numbers.

  • Jay

They need to scrap X Factor. Even if the marginal ratings are good enough to make Fox some money, they need to consider the damage it’s done to American Idol (re: oversaturation of music shows) – that would far outweigh any benefit to them.

    @ jupiter3765

CBS already announced the fes Schedule changes:
    – Hostages two-hour finale on Monday, January 6.
    – Intelligence special preview on Tuesday, January 7 following NCIS.
    – Intelligence time period premiere on Monday, January 13 at 10PM.

They will maybe announce the premiere of a new Comedy or a timeslot change for The Millers and The Crazy Ones. I think that’s all…

  • CBSviewer

    * few changes !

  • Jim

I told 5 people who like The Voice to check out The X Factor. 4 of them had no idea it was a singing competition. A name change might help.

  • Dan S

Ironic that a rerun of Goldbergs ties with a new X-Factor. Unless Suburgatory can improve the 8:30 timeslot then it’s a no brainer to move Goldbergs to Wed. Either way I’m confident that’ll it return next season.

  • a p garcia

Baba Wawa saying, Honey BooBoo, was a fascinating person several years ago was a sign to me that she had been on TV much tooooooo long!!!

  • rgxx

Holy crap – Sing Off is Beating X-Factor?! Game over!

And Wow…Celine Dion could lose to CW Special if CW is adjusted up…that would be funny.

  • Kissan

The Goldbergs not only helped themselves but they helped the rest of the night also, which made ABC win. More proof why ABC should move Goldbergs to Wednesdays after The Middle, keep SHIELD on Tuesdays but move it to 9, and move Suburgatory to Tuesdays at 8 with Mixology at 8:30. Suburgatory had a whole season after The Middle and almost a whole season after Modern Family so it SHOULD have at least a five million viewer audience. Well maybe next season…

  • Rebecca

Somewhat good for a Goldbergs rerun nestled between two other reruns, and I’m glad they tried it on a Wednesday. I’d love for it to stay in that timeslot. I want Trophy Wife to move there, too, but after MF…probably won’t happen. I watched the Baba Wawa show just to see Miley and the Duck Dynasty gang.

  • rgxx

ABC’s promotion of Most Fasinating People and Robins special was confusing – I swore they were back to back on the same night the way the were promoted.

Robins last special bombed – tonite’s special will also bomb

  • Sarah

Wow The X Factor! That’s bad as it is, but for it being the final performance show that’s really bad. I wonder if it will adjust up since the last half hour got a 1.4.

  • Ted Craig

So, you’re logic is that Mixology is a better lead-in for SHIELD than SHIELD is for The Goldbergs?

  • Ram510

Sooooo when will ABC announce that the Goldbergs is moving to Wednesdays?

  • Ted Craig

If ever, in May. Remember, Last Man Standing has been aired behind The Middle without ever being moved there permanently.
