“Blue Boods”: Spinoff or TVBTN in a rush to take their holiday break?

Bad numbers for H50 and BB but I think those shows will only get cancelled if they go very low, like <1.0 !
Plus CBS made a weird move that week, they aired repeats on Wednesday and Thursday but then originals on Friday. Viewers probably thought they were airing repeats as well.

Not bad for H50 and Blue Bloods considering this was the last weekend before Christmas. I think the ratings remained steady from last weekend. For next season, I do think the time is right to put the original CSI back on Friday.

Unfortunately the 3 weeks break hurt the ratings much more than I thought it would. Lase week was the best episode of H50 in all 4 seasons and yet the demo was lowest recorded. It’s sad and ironic. It’s good that H60 ticked upwards but it needs to comeback to 1.5-1.6 range not to be in danger of cancellation. We have to remember that the show will have 88 required episodes for syndication so it must have decent ratings and stand on its own feet. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
And for everyone here I wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Muted yay that H50 & BB adjusted up. Next year I hope that CBS doesn’t plan to air new episodes so close to the Holidays. As for Nikita the CW knew programming the final episodes so close to Christmas would result in low numbers so no surprise there.

Hawaii 5-0 and blue bloods will get renewed to get to over 100 episodes to max the syndication value

BB is watched by more PEOPLE week in, week out, then any show on Friday night. Many folks, including those running this site, refuse to look beyond 18-49 “demo” numbers. BB has twice as many viewers as the time slot opposition. At some point revenue generated by the sheer volume of people watching makes BB attractive to advertisers. Many of you suffer from generational chauvinism.

The H50 fan girls crack me up. Only them would say a 1.3 for h50 is a good result. LOL. AND against reruns. LMAO.
CBS aired h50 so late in the season so the finale could air against no competition. Ha ha. U don’t get it. CBS tried to help CBS finale to win the time slot at least once and then post a Press Release about y how great the finale did beating the competition. But not even that helped. Still tied a repeat !!! A repeat !!!!

Ratings for Friday shows are meaningless.. Both shows also sell well overseas.. People in the so called demo are not watching Friday TV anymore like those of us who used to be in the demo……. Dallas was the #1 show on TV on Friday nights.. Also CBS has their shows On Demand quickly so folks who are out can watch.. Oh and the money in America is among the baby boomers who have aged out of the “demo”… CBS and their advertisers know this..

Cbs still has bigger worries than Friday night. My guess is that 5-0 and bb are back next fall. They may cancel one of them if for no other reason than to shuffle elementary over.

We have to keep H50s ratings up people its too good of a show to get cancelled anytime soon!

  • sharpe

They should have kept H50 on Monday night it did better there, maybe they will put it back this fall, H50 and Person Of Interest are two of cbs’s best shows!!!!.

I like both Hawaii 50 andBlue Bloods they both have great casts

BB at 1.2 and will still be renewed… yet, other shows with higher ratings on Fridays have been cancelled…. And, they say that total viewer count doesn’t matter…unless you are Tom Selleck, I guess
