House of Lies Live!

via press release:

Los Angeles, CA (December 23, 2013) –  Before the highly-anticipated third season premiere of HOUSE OF LIES on Sunday, January 12th at 10 p.m. ET/PT, the show’s fans will have a chance to see the cast like they’ve never seen them before – hilariously unscripted and in front of a live audience. With help from improv veterans and series stars, Emmy winner®  Ben Schwartz and Josh Lawson, Golden Globe® winner Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell leave their characters behind to try their hand at long-form improv, along with season three guest stars, comedians Lauren Lapkus, Ryan Gaul and Eugene Cordero. Taped at the famed Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles, HOUSE OF LIES LIVE! will premiere online on December 30th, the first ever SHOWTIME original production to premiere online. The special will then air on SHOWTIME on Tuesday, December 31st at 10 p.m. ET/PT. For an early look at the special, go to: http://s.sho.com/198cyYx.

The HOUSE OF LIES LIVE! special can be accessed on December 30th across multiple platforms including SHO.com, on the network’s YouTube channel and HOUSE OF LIES’ Facebook page, the SHOWTIME Preview apps for iPhone®, iPod Touch®, Android smartphones and tablets, and Nook® and Kindle Fire tablets, via select television providers' websites, and for download as a free video podcast on iTunes.

HOUSE OF LIES is the edgy, provocative hit SHOWTIME comedy series starring Don Cheadle (Iron Man 3) in his twice Emmy®-nominated and Golden Globe®-winning role as elite consultant Marty Kaan, a man with a single-minded pursuit: power. This quest is eternally complicated at work by his relationships with his “Pod” of co-workers: sexy, whip-smart co-conspirator Jeannie (Kristen Bell) and underlings Clyde (Ben Schwartz) and Doug (Josh Lawson). At home, he’s forced to juggle unwanted advice from his psychoanalyst father Jeremiah (Emmy winner Glynn Turman), drama from his demented ex-wife Monica (Dawn Olivieri), all while being a loving father to his gender-fluid teenage son Roscoe (Donis Leonard Jr.). We start season 3 as the wreckage from Marty’s decision to launch his own firm has spilled onto the Pod – the almighty quartet is disbanded. But while Marty is preoccupied with hustling up new clients, his former mentee Jeannie is channeling her inner Kaan and making big moves in his absence. With everything now turned upside-down, it’s anyone’s game and anyone’s guess as to who will come out on top – at work and at play. Season three guest stars include Grammy® Award winner T.I. (American Gangster, Identity Thief), Mekhi Phifer (Lie To Me, ER), Eliza Coupe (Happy Endings, Scrubs) and Daniel Stern (Home Alone, The Wonder Years). Previous guest stars Griffin Dunne (“The Rainmaker”), Bess Armstrong (“Julianne”) and Jenny Slate (“Sarah”) will also return this season.

Pathetic stunt. I have watched several episodes and cannot understand the appeal of this show. I like Don Cheadle but he should stick to movies. I should have cancelled Showtime a long time ago.
