Wow, The CW held still. Anyway, happy new year TVBYTN people! Hopefully, 2014 will be a much better year!

  • Tom

What an amazing show that is POI.

  • John A

Thats good for CW. Lol at POI repeat beating Castle and The Blacklist. Thats not even its timeslot.

  • Lasko6

Great for the CW holding that 0.5 rating.

  • AllOfHerTw!st

Go POI! Best series on broadcast TV!

  • AbeCardinal

Great for PoI. 2pir still reigns supreme. Love the ‘old’ PoI and the fav four.

  • Frederic P.

Was This The CW’s highest rated Monday this fall?

  • grey

Oh snap “POI.” Excuse me. :)

  • grey

There’s another “POI” repeat tonight. You guys think it will dominate again? *I* certainly prefer it to Ryan Seacreast and Carson Daly.

  • sam

@”… *I* certainly prefer it to Ryan Seacreast and Carson Daly.”

but these are new shows .. not repeats.

  • AbeCardinal

    @ Grey,
It will be hard for it do dominate. I guess many fans will be out of their homes for the broadcast. As for me, I left the festivities for an hour last Tuesday to catch Shadow Box. I really do hope it dominates again. I find those end of year specials tedious.

    @ sam

“but these are new shows .. not repeats.”

So? It still might beat them. Stranger things have happened. If most of the demo goes out tonight CBS’s older skewing demo might raise “POI” to the top.

  • sam

@grey, as a big fan of POI, I sure hope you’re right about a POI rerun being on top again. That would be awesome! :D

  • lll

I miss the “old” POI too. I wasn’t a fan of this episode but I much prefer it to the “new” POI. Good to see it dominate on a night that isn’t theirs. Makes you wonder if they’ll move to Mondays next season if Intelligence doesn’t hold up.

  • AbeCardinal

    @ III,
The show seems to always be evolving. It is still interesting. I have to say that to me the heart of the show was and I hope continues to be Reese and Finch’s relationship (I loved Carter and Fusco is also great), The brotherhood of these two broken loners, as well as their banter is gold. That is what made the show so popular at the beginning. As long as the show keeps this even when the storyline moves forward with the Machine in the foreground, it will continue to be successful. :O) Have a happy and safe 2014, everyone.

What did the original iHeartradio music festival night 1 get???

  • tv_viewer

Last New Year’s Eve (December 31, 2012), ABC aired a 2 hour special to celebrate Dick Clark’s life. It had a 2.6 rating.

Dick Clark’s 10 pm show with Ryan Seacrest earned a 4.2 rating.

NBC aired the movie Enchanted with a 0.7 rating. NBC’s 10 pm show with Carson Daly earned a 1.2 rating.

For tonight’s show, Person of Interest isn’t likely to hit 1.0. I’m predicting it will match last Tuesday’s 0.8 rating. Even though last night’s ratings don’t mean much, I was glad that Person of Interest was #1 at 10 pm for one Monday.

POI did good on a night it doesn’t normally air because the other shows were watched when it originally aired. Less people watched Mike and Molly and POI during it’s original run. So now that everything was in repeats they watched something they hadn’t watched that wasn’t a holiday special. Not knocking the shows just saying.

  • MeAndMrsJones

Aww. Most good. I wanted to watch this one, but I didn’t.
