Get Ready for the Exciting Two-Hour Season Finale on CBS by Watching All 13 Episodes of “Hostages” Back-to-Back on TVGN from 1:00 PM, ET/PT-2:00 AM, ET/PT

LOS ANGELES — Jan. 3, 2014 — This Sunday, TVGN (TV Guide Network) will offer viewers an exclusive TV catch-up of all 13 episodes of HOSTAGES, a high-octane suspense drama airing on the CBS Television Network.

To get viewers ready for the two-hour season finale on CBS on Monday, Jan. 6 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT), TVGN will air every HOSTAGES episode back-to-back starting with the series premiere from 1:00 PM, ET/PT-2:00 AM, ET/PT on Sunday, Jan. 5.

“TVGN loves great TV, and we couldn’t be more excited to give viewers an opportunity to catch up on HOSTAGES, one of the best primetime dramas on television today, right before the big season finale,” said Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment and Media, TVGN. “If you've missed one minute of HOSTAGES, we've got you completely covered. Come spend this Sunday with Dylan McDermott, Toni Collette and TVGN.”

HOSTAGES, from executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer, stars Emmy Award winner Toni Collette and Golden Globe Award winner Dylan McDermott in a high-octane suspense drama about Dr. Ellen Sanders, a premiere surgeon thrust into a chilling political conspiracy when her family is taken hostage by rogue FBI Agent Duncan Carlisle.  Ellen and her family are held captive in their home by Carlisle, a desperate man doing the wrong thing for the right reasons, who orders her to assassinate the President when she operates on him.  His  highly  skilled  accomplices  include his brother-in-law Kramer, whose loyalty to Carlisle will be tested; quick-tempered and intimidating Archer, an ex-military man with a razor-sharp tongue; and the only woman involved, Sandrine, a mysterious last-minute replacement to the team.  With her family’s life in peril, Ellen faces an incomprehensible moral dilemma in order to save her overbearing husband Brian, her secretive daughter Morgan and her not-so-innocent son Jake.  In this high-stakes standoff between Ellen and Carlisle, fraught with tremendous national and personal consequences, the choices between right and wrong become even more blurred.

Does this mean Season 2 is a go?

  • Gabriel

    Why even bother?

  • John A

I can understand why they air Losers like Reign and TTP as they might grab new viewers but they probably wont but Hostages is obviously dead.

  • abc

It’s hysterical that the term “season finale” is mentioned 3 times in the article when it’s actually a SERIES finale because there’s no way in hell this abysmal rated show is coming back for a second season.

  • Nasir

I was originally gonna watch this show but then I saw the ratings and decided against it. Is the show worth the binge-watching?

  • Ike

Nasir, check out the hilarious AV Club reviews. This show basically causes the AV Club reviewer to lose the will to live.

  • AllOfHerTw!st

I’m sure hundreds of people will be watching.

  • Stylish

AV Club’s reviewer and almost everyone who posts there are nuts! You can’t take them seriously because they seem to hate ALL tv shows there. I, for one, think that Hostages is getting renewed. The foreign version has been given a second season already.

  • CraveRecords

TVGN is owned by Lionsgate and CBS Corporation. It’s airing The CW (owned by CBS Corporation and Warner Bros.) shows and Hostages as marathons. That’s in addition to the Young & the Restless (a CBS soap).

  • David

Yeah don’t worry, Hostages has been a huge commercial and critical success, a second season is all but assured at this point.

  • Brock

    LOL David, sarcasm.

  • Stylish

David and so many others are gonna eat crow. But you didn’t hear it from me. There is no reason for any network to marathon a tv show at the last minute if they’ve already given up on it. They’re obviously STILL trying to pull people into this show.

  • psychic

Ooh. Because so many people have been dying to binge-watch Hostages.

  • pmr

It’s a GREAT show and was produced as a limited run 15 episode series. Obviously if it did well they would try to do more. But its still worth watching. Great actors and writing. Looking forward to the season/series finale

  • Anthony Carsey

Don’t forget The Bold and the Beautiful is also on there.

  • Jordan

Hostages is a really good show, and I wish more people would give it a shot. It starts off a bit slow through the first few episodes, but then the Jerry Bruckheimer name really reflects as the writing gets more complex and weaves many storylines perfectly. I think it’s a great limited series and I personally hope for a second season, but realistically speaking based on the ratings, it doesn’t seem to be one that has attracted sufficient ratings for a typical renewal.

  • David

I’ve not watched the show, I can only speak from the reviews I’ve seen, but if you think the show is good, fair enough. It certainly doesn’t look like the worst show to come out of network television. However all I’m saying is that Hostages is certainly dead this point, it’s ratings are anaemic.

  • Nick h

it was a good show, but i feel like they put in a lot of fluff just to get this much out of it and see no way to have a good 2nd season even if it had good ratings

  • Katheryn

Watched the marathon yesterday and loved it. I couldn’t wait until tonight’s finale. I feel the show would do great if it came back- Love the characters.

  • colette

The show is great. I loved it and hope a second season is in the works.
