All shows compete VS insane football game on ESPN with 9.0 rating. That demo #s beat all NFL games on ESPN and most NFL games on NBC. Just saying if you ask why castle is down.

  • PerryGoGrrr

    I didn’t bash Castle.
I just merely said it rated lower than Revenge this week. Also I see Revenge getting 5 seasons

  • Teri

The game was a huge factor for all numbers.

  • Ray

Castle lower than Revenge on the new year premiere. This just made my day (and it shows Revenge isn’t dead).

  • Key

So long, Hostages. Nice knowing you.

  • Dave

I don’t want Almost Human but I’m rooting for it for the sake of FOX’s drama situation.

I get the 8pm lead-off spot since the show appeals to pretty much everyone, however, they need to place it at 9pm and give it a decent lead-in support.

  • Rob R

“Revenge” did not compete against football for the first time this season but “Castle” competed against the national college football championship.

  • Dan

@saw, Really? Then why did AH go up over it’s last original? Why did a repeat of The Blacklist go up at 10:00 PM from it’s 9:00 PM performance? Castle just had a bad night, no need to pull out football excuses.

  • Dan

@Teri, okay, I’ll play along, how did the game factor into AH’s ratings?

  • Lauren

I´m sad for Castle , the ratings are really bad but what do you expect ? The writers are doing a terrible job this season and Nathan looks like he could be Beckett´s father. They are not a believable couple anymore.

  • Tam

Why are people comparing Castle with Revenge here? What is the point?
And if there is a point, it doesn’t make sense at all because this is the second time this season Revenge had higher ratings than Castle. Weird why people are comparing.
Castle has bad weeks here and there but it always jumps back up, nothing to worry about or bash it over.

  • sam

Castle was boring and predictable last night. It has certainly lost a lot of what made it enjoyable to watch.

  • tvwatcher

    GO Almost Human!

Good to see Blacklist repeats adjusted up too! :D

  • cabose369

While I am disappointed that Castle adjusted down, I am sooo happy Almost Human adjusted up. It is a great show! Definitely needs to be renewed!

  • Eve

Anxious for The Blacklist next week.

  • Eve

NBC was really bold last night. They aired the pilot and the two part finale of The Blacklist. Good scheduling.

  • Kitsune

Hotsages sounds like a Tolkien smut novel. :3

  • Niallers24

Why are we comparing castle and revenge??

    Castle rates higher than revenge.
Castle matches it series low 1.7 from last year.
Castle is in a better position to revenge.
Castle always rates lower without DWTS.
Castle is no anger of cancelation.

  • jake

Almost Human will be renewed is stabilizing.
2BG is doing so well at 8pm.

  • Kissan

LOL at Castle adjusting down. Probably due to The Bachelor’s one minute overrun. I think The Blacklist will get a 2.8-2.9 next week. Good job for Almost Human adjusting up. It looks like The Voice and the CBS comedies not on made it do better.
