The Assets

ABC has pulled The Assets from its schedule after it fell from a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating for its premiere last week to a 0.6 this week. The 0.6 was the lowest rated original drama telecast on a big four network this season. For now, the Thursday at 10PM timeslot will be filled by repeats of Shark Tank. The Assets was billed as a miniseries. ABC has not announced whether it will air the remaining episodes in the future.

    I am shocked.

  • RJC

    Even a test pattern would have gotten higher ratings than this “miniseries”.

  • AO’s Sock Puppet Account

    Me too.

  • American

    Kinda feel bad for ABC… had to throw in Scandal repeats on Tuesdays at 10 because Lucky 7 bombed, having to put Shark Tank repeats in because this REALLY flopped… this definitely isn’t their season. Most of their returning shows are down a tick or two (save Scandal), and the freshman line-up has failed to deliver. I’m eager to see what Paul Lee has up his sleeve next though (and ever-ready for their next press release! :P)

  • AO

    Between this and Killer Women I have a feeling that ABC may be a bit weary of miniseries for awhile.

  • AO

    On the plus side there’s more room to try out shows like Nashville, Castle and Revenge (whether originals or repeats) in different spots if they are so inclined.

  • Ultima

    @Jon
    The assets is a mini series. It cant get canceled

  • PJM

    You can’t pull a 0.6 in an easily-winnable slot and expect to survive. Even Killer Women had to go up against Justified.

    I’ll bet NBC feels a lot better about itself these days.

  • charlie

    killer women will be next,if not tonight next airing for sure. mark my words!!!!!

  • Sam

    Hmmm, I don’t even know what this show is about…

  • AO’s Sock Puppet Account

    The Assets had some tough competition too!

    There was, um, well Appalachian Outlaws which pulled a 0.8.
    And that 10:30 repeat of American Dad too.
    At 0.7 there wasGround Floor, Impractical Jokers, Mob Wives 4, TNT Basketball and Ridiculousness (Season 4).

    Yeah.

  • charlie

    how exactly are those competition?? lol

  • TVMAN

    Shark Tank filling in all of ABC’s trouble shows this year. As long as it doesn’t affect the ratings, I’m okay with it

  • American

    @AO
    I seriously doubt ABC will move Castle, it being the network’s most stable show by far, but it is an interesting idea. If I were to toy with it, I might think about puttin it on Thursdays at 8… I know, it could die there, but it’s a thought. Nashville definitely should be moved, I forget sometimes that it was even renewed because it’s in a sort-of obscure timeslot. Scandal doesn’t need any moving, though

  • Lady Toot Toot

    Killer Women is the next casualty.

  • mmogaddict

    @charlie

    I think your sarcasm detector is off.

  • Androme

    @PJM

    Yes it does, dude. Yes it does.

  • DenverDean

    ABC should’ve never cancelled BOP. Between L7, KW and TA would’ve done better AND they could’ve used BOP (R) as better filler. Too bad ABC also lost four episodes of Scandal.

  • Shepherd

    @Ultima

    That was a funny comment this morning. Thanks for reminding me of that. :)

  • Julie

    ABC needs to get with the program-they desperately need another desperate housewives, Greys-they need a great night time soap that gets people talking again about the network-I really think they should not have cancelled BOP ( not because I was a huge fan but because it was a decent performer with a good overall viewer count-I know 18/49 is what counts but still) even GCB was scoring some 2.0′s and higher and averaging a 1.9 , but my point is it was still performing better than most of their current lineup-I used to love ABC not so much anymore besides OUAT and DWTS
