So happy for the CBS soaps. Days also had a press release. But nothing from GH…

I don’t buy the theory of the weather being the sole reason for the rise in ratings. People who were inside because of a storm or the cold had a CHOICE of what to watch, and they CHOSE to watch Y&R and B&B. I have 800+ choices of what to watch everyday at 12:30, and I choose to watch Y&R because its a good show.

Saying it is because of the weather has nothing to do with whether the show is good or bad. Geesh people try to read too much into stuff.

I chose to watch Y&R that week too. But guess what it was because of the holidays only. I usually DVR Y&R and B&B because I work. Guess what my work closes the week of Christmas each year. So guess what I happened to be home so I watched live.

This past week I missed 2 days of work because of the weather and ice. Guess what I chose to watch Y&R and B&B live again.

But if it had not been for the weather — I wouldn’t have been home so I wouldn’t have had that choice to make.

Saying it is because of the weather is not putting your favorite show down. It is just those people happen to be home and they had the opportunity to watch. Duh!!!!!! Logical of course but of course people have to jump on the bandwagon and thing that everyone is putting the show down because they say the ratings were up because of the weather.

And yes I do realize that this report is for the week of New Years and not Christmas. I was off 2 days that week due to the holidays too.

People do have a choice to make in their viewing. And yes they chose to watch Y&R and B&B but if the weather or the holidays had not put them at home then they couldn’t make that choice.

Has nothing to do with whether the show was good or not. It was just a matter of convenience.

The biggest thing that the producers will look at is how the ratings for TVGN’s airing and the DVR’s do. If these were people that usually watched via those means but only watched because they were at home then it will all even out in the end.

They will be looking to see how many of these were new viewers and how many come back later.
