You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  • Charmed

Is that a new total viewers high for TBBT?

  • Valentin

Makes me laugh when I see haters of The Crazy Ones :)
Just be happy for the fans for once.

  • John A

Over 20 million for TBBT thats ridiculously great.

  • Billy

TBBT 6.1 doesn’t count as regular ratings. It was at 8:30, which is a special time slot. The season high for TBBT in its regular time slot is a 5.5.

  • Charmed

Second highest TBBT total viewers actually.

  • Thomas

There was Two and a Half Men last week… Why the ” Two and a Half Men notched a 2.4 up 9 percent from the 2.2 it earned three weeks ago.”?

  • jupiter3765

cbs and abc will be fighting for third

  • Elizabeth

Where oh where would we be NBC if you didn’t mess with your line up?

Parks and Community could find their audience if you didn’t doubt them and gave them the chance.

  • Sonic

Elementary went up because it finally got its groove back on. The last episode was excellent.

  • http://tvbythenumbers.com Sara Bibel

For those who asked, the networks have not reported any sports preemptions, Stay tuned for the finals, but it looks like there was a lot of TV being watched last night.

  • Markitos

    Go Parks :D
    Good for Elementary.

  • Brandy

Wow at BBT!Yay for Reign rerun practically matching VD repeat demo & viewers.

yes nbc must be proud that its shows went up by .1, only 1 show got over the 4 million mark, nobody is watching them and these are not the finals

  • dust

PArks and Rec and Community need to be on 8-9 and one of the two piles of crap should go against TBBT.

NBC should be smiling this week as entire comedy sked up, but against FOX (R) & CW (R) it should be

Oh woe is me ABC couldn’t capitalize on FOX/CW (R) & the Assets is tanking into the history books

Amazing CBS stats crushes all competition, but again two nets in rerun mode surely gave them the edge

    WTG CBS!

  • Douglas from Brazil

The snowing that hit most part of country forced people to watch TV.It always happens in early january.Last season TBBT saw series high at this time then start to drop when DST began in March as well all television.Again I love see ABC so dead, they deserve.

  • Rebecca

Good for Community and Parks – I still need to stream them. Had two scout meetings last night so couldn’t watch anything live. Watched recording of TBBT and enjoyed it. Need to stream The Millers, too (I agree with Doug’s mom Dale – great show and I hope to watch it for years to come). First I have to go get a couple Ellens off the dvd so there’s room for LMS and Grimm to be recorded tonight (disc-based DVR can only hold 4 hours). Falling behind again, lol.

  • Shepherd

    @Sara Bibel

Anyone know what the lowest rated original on the Big4 during the regular season is? Lowest in the last 5 yrs, or 10 yrs maybe? I know NBC had that comedy that only aired like 4 episodes last season; I can’t remember what it was called or how low the ratings were though.

  • Paul

Community is a lock for renewal now. NBC can’t clean house. Parks & Rec should be renewed for a 13 episode spackle.

Very impressive night for CBS. I am sure this is what CBS had in mind when they first put together the Thursday night lineup.

NBC needs to pull the plug on Sean and MJF. They’re better off airing Blacklist or SVU reruns.

  • Chris

The Big Bang Theory earned a 6.1 for its 8:30 episode this season in its double-length premiere. The 5.6 statement is true if you are only counting the regularly scheduled 8:00 episodes.
