CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD was the #1 Sunday morning news program with adults 25-54 – the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news – as well as viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Jan. 12, 2014.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered 5.84m viewers and a 1.5/07 in adults 25-54. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +7% in both adults 25-54 (from 1.4/07) and viewers (from 5.47m).

Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +6% in viewers (5.89m from 5.55m) compared to last season.

Sunday’s broadcast featured Rita Braver’s interview with former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates; Anthony Mason’s behind the scenes look at the venerable Martin Guitar company; Mo Rocca’s profile of veteran actress June Squibb who after 60 years in the movie business is earning critical praise for her work in the film “Nebraska”; and Michelle Miller’s chat with former morning TV host Jane Pauley about her career, her family, and her new book, Your Life Calling: Reimagining the Rest of Your Life, published by CBS-owned Simon & Schuster.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 AM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
