@Tom Some people think the same way as you but I highly disagree. People are going to LOVE Suburgatory season 3 because it’s getting back to basics. They canned all the relationships and they even got rid of some of the actors that were in pointless storylines. Don’t know why they tried getting off the tracks to focus on other people when the show was always about Tessa and George. The premier focused on those two and I expect it to remain that way for the remainder of the series.

  • Osaji

Oddly, The Middle got below a 2.0. I expect it to rebound next week along with Suburgatory.

1.4 for SVU is the second time its reached this low this season.
    Not good news for NBC.

I like The Tomorrow People but I do agree with some of the critiques. I see ‘Stephen’ don’t know actors names as the lead on this show. I think he does an admirable job. I also like ‘John’ The actor that portrays him does a decent job as well. However, I do find the chic ‘Cara’ a bit wooden at times. TBH she reminds me a bit of Kristin Kruek in looks and in acting department. I’m sure all the B&B fans will now attack me. I think The Tomorrow People as gotten better and the show has such promise especially when they focus strictly on The Tomorrow People and Ultra.

Why is that surprising? It was up against AI for the first time.

I watched American Idol last night and loved it !! I thought the new panel worked so well together and Harry Connick , Jr. was so funny.
I have a topic to discuss if anyone wants to — Given that The Voice and American Idol have such high ratings , why do you think it is that the contestants from AI become so much more famous – winning Oscars and Grammys , when those from The Voice don’t succeed as well. I can’t even remember the name of one winner from The Voice – even though they were very talented. What do you think it is ? Thanks.

What are Aarow’s ratings compared to this time last season? Are they the same? If so, I guess that’s an accomplishment.

  • cas

Not a fan of either Idol anymore or the Voice and you are correct that Idol has produced some talent, but really when was the last season they produced talent that won a Grammy? A long time ago. I think one Oscar doesn’t really count for much especially since she then moved to a show that was cancelled and hasn’t done much since.

“What are Aarow’s ratings compared to this time last season? Are they the same? If so, I guess that’s an accomplishment.”

1.1 and 3.06 million viewers against the AI premiere last year. That was up a tenth from the winter finale, 1.0 and 3.11 million viewers.

    Now Chicago PD looks better.

    Revolution :(

@”CPD is following the same pattern as its parent show CF

I’m sorry, but two episodes does not equate to following the same pattern. Yes, the numbers for the first two episodes of both shows were basically the same, but CF was up to 2.2 by episode 5, then hovered around 1.9-2.1 for awhile, then climbed to 2.4 by episode 11 (Jan.2nd), hit 2.2 on Jan. 9th (roughly the same week as CPD’s 1.5), and still managed to pull a 2.0 and 1.7 for its final two episodes of the season.

That leaves CPD with a huge hurdle to overcome if it wants to “follow the same pattern as CF”. “Maintaining these numbers” (1.5s) is not going to save the show from cancellation.

    @ Osaji

I agree with you on Suburgatory going back to basics & they should really concentrate on George/Tessa & not go too far off the beaten path.

I also expect the Middle & Suburgatory to go up next week, as the AI factor shouldn’t be as strong.

  • Carl

Thanks, @morrigan. I thought they were already at .9 by that point. Well, that isn’t too big of a drop, and it’s been a slow week for TV (and everything on the CW has dropped this week), so I guess that’s still good.

The last few winners on the Voice have done quite well. Danielle Bradbury is doing the Olympic theme song going to get a lot of exposure and last years Cassidy Polk is doing very well having received platinum status as well as CMA and AMC music awards nominations for her debut album. I expect The new winner to do even better as I know a lot of people eagerly anticipating her first new album and tour. As for saying Jennifer Hudson did nothing but Dreamgirls and was a fail on TV is false logic. She was a last ditch effort to try and help save Smash which was already a lost cause from previous seasons crash and burn. She tours regularly and had many singles on the billboard hot 100 and at or near the top when you break it down to R&B charts. She also has had multiple Grammy nominations FYI

The Super Fun Night pilot that got skipped and then buried in the winter hiatus was actually really good. It was a funnier, edgier, show. The idiots at ABC who forced a retool are much more to blame for SFN’s failure than Rebel Wilson.

  • iSayso

Could they please adjust TTP of the damn schedule already!

    De facto, where are you?

  • Axle

Stick a fork in SVU, she’s done.

  • renny

Is that good for suburgatory!!! Hope so.

    @ morrigan_2575
