    @grey
    They’re bringing it back as early as they can really. It’ll likely start again in September.

  • AllOfHerTw!st

    Holla for Sleepy Hollow! That 2.4 listed on the chart as the official number for the Season Finale looks nice.

    :razz: :grin:

    That’s a very solid Castle.

    Intelligence beaten by Tuesday’s POI repeat.

  • Scot

    When did How I Met Your Mother become the most popular show on Monday nights, lol? Nice to see the steady numbers for Sleepy Hollow, the finale was excellent. The Blacklist is still doing fine, though it IS deflating some without its Voice lead-in, isn’t it? NBC better not move it from that time slot next season. It will sink like a stone otherwise. Why hasn’t BATB been shuffled off to Friday yet? Those numbers are terrible, even for the CW standards.

  • Tom

    @ Tom Shaw

    Sure, it goes without saying that a program like BATB receiving a “stable” string of 0.3 ratings is likely to be cancelled. However, a case can still be made that Hart of Dixie is still around because it receives stable yet only marginally higher ratings. Moreover, the CW isn’t exactly typical because it doesn’t compete for ratings with the major networks. So, the CW doesn’t appear to be fertile ground for drawing conclusions about the relationship between stable ratings and program renewals.

  • Michael

    Blacklist is falling :(

    BUT…you have to look at something here. NBC is “Failing” this show, buy putting it with a show like ‘Hollywood Game Night”. While it’s not a ‘terrible’ program per NBC standards, it’s not gonna retain like the Voice does. I can almost promise you; Once The Blacklist returns from the Olympics, and The Voice runs with it, it’s numbers will be up again :)

  • platypus perry

    Hollywood Game Night does solid for NBC and numbers are slightly up from last seasons run on Thursday Nights.. I honestly think this would be a great Friday 10 PM show for NBC.

  • It’s funny

    @Chris
    Castle doesn’t seem able to hit that 10mil viewer mark anymore. It’s weakening badly, and when was the last time it won its timeslot against first-run competition on the other two nets?

    ABC needs to move it out of there, and see how it does without that big lead-in.

    Lots of openings on Friday. Where already-syndicated shows losing their audience go to die. :)

    Your logic is interesting, Chris. Since coming back from the holidays, Castle has remained within the top three watched shows overall. Newsflash: NO ONE broke 10 mil on Monday. Castle has surpassed its DWTS lead-in multiple times in the demo this season, and more people over have tuned in for Castle than its Bachelor lead-in.

    A 2.2 for Sleepy Hollow. For a finale, lmao!!!!!!! Say hello to cancellation.

    No, that number was the rating for the second-to-last episode. But you almost certainly knew this, yet you chose to focus on anything even remotely negative about the show.

  • Dan S

    Not to mention SH has already been renewed for next season. So much for talk of any cancellation.

  • Shepherd

    @Charmed

    I’m convinced that @Shepherd and @HeadlessHorseman is the same person

    That’s okay, you still strike me as a nice person. jk, Headless seems nice too!

    I actually tried to impartially calculate the odds that TCD would get renewed last night. Working on the assumption that CW would only renew two of: Reign, TTP, TCD, SC, and T100; and the assumption that a ratings tie between TCD and any of the other 4 shows would result in the other show gaining preference. You don’t even want to hear the numbers I came up with. Not pretty!

    @Chris
    “Castle doesn’t seem able to hit that 10mil viewer mark anymore. It’s weakening badly, and when was the last time it won its timeslot against first-run competition on the other two nets?”

    When does total viewers really matter? Its a18-49 rating is right around its normal, stabilized self. Nothing to fret over. And don’t worry, more likely than not, total viewership will be back in the 10+ million later in the season.

  • MeAndMrsJones

    So happy SH adjusted up. That finale episode was well worth the number.

  • grey

    @Chris

    “Castle doesn’t seem able to hit that 10mil viewer mark anymore. It’s weakening badly, and when was the last timeit won it’s timeslot against first-run competition on the other two nets?”

    What are you talking about?!

    For this season (season 6) after 13 episodes it’s averaging 2.0230 in the demo and *10.3684* in viewers.
    Individually it has hit the 10+ million mark in viewers 7 times this season. (And all of these numbers are from this website if you want to double check.) Currently, it’s either even with its numbers from last year (which was a good year) or a little ahead depending on which specific category you look at (i.e. demo number, DVR+ 7 days, etc.).

    As for being number one for the hour against new competition on the other networks, it did that on 01/06/14. True, “The Black List” was a repeat but “Hostages” was new (even though that show was a joke, I’ll give you that). However, as has been pointed out here and elsewhere, it’s not so much about how a show does against the other networks but how it does against other shows on its own network. ABC can’t cancel shows on the other networks only its own shows and if the show is a top performer in their stable they’re going to keep it. Currently “Castle” is number 6 of the 21 scripted shows ABC has.

    And as far as moving it I always have to ask, “And replace it with what?” 10PM on Monday is a very tough slot. If you don’t believe me, ask CBS. :-/ With all their high polluting mega hits on Mondays none of them have helped whatever CBS puts in the 10PM slot. “DWTS” and “The Bachelor” don’t pull in nearly as many 18-49 year olds as CBS’s comedy block but yet “Castle” manages to stay solid – with and *without* them. They could maybe get away with putting something like “Scandal” in that slot but then what do they do with the slot “Scandal” leaves vacant? I really don’t think sticking something else in there and especially trying to launch something new is going to work. Even with “The Black List’s” great numbers this season “Castle” is standing up to it very well and I think ABC realizes this and also realizes that taking the chance of putting something else there is a mistake. But then again, TV execs have proven time and again not to be too bright. Well see.

  • Eridapo

    To those responding to Chirs, don’t. Chris has been a Castle troll for a while, and as John A pointed out he publishes as either Chris or Phisher. He has been predicting Castle’s demise for years at this site, Berman’s site, and other ratings sites.

  • Niallers24

    In January February castle always averages 8 to 9 million viewers. When DWTS returns the show will hit the 10 million mark again.

  • Robert

    This long wait for Sleepy Hollow return will kill this show…bad idea Fox

  • justmepat

    gave Intelligance a try Monday night, give me a break writers,directors,and producers. This is the worse show, I have ever seen. CBS should hide your faces for approving a show like this. Wake up producers etc, look at CSI,Criminal Minds. Law and Order the list goes on,Great writing. America, I am sorry to inform you, Hollywood is in big trouble, concerning those who are writing books,scripts etc. This generation of individuals can not write. They are using computer generating to sell there stories, it stinks, it is bad. A great show is one that has stories of respect, suspense, thriller, who did it,a show that help educate our youth. A show that helps stops bullies. Wake Up Hollywood

  • Dan

    @ Robert “This long wait for Sleepy Hollow return will kill this show…bad idea Fox”

    Did the long wait kill The Following? Did long waits between seasons kill Dexter, Sopranos, True Blood, Game Of Thrones……?

    13 episode seasons have been around for a long time on premium cable and now the networks are trying them. There is nothing inherent in a 13 episode season that kills a series.

  • skyfi

    Batb is still slightly up.

  • skyfi

    @Tom Shaw,
    Batb is NOT stable. 0.3 lies to you. 0.3 varies from 0.25 to 0.34 and these small changes are very big, when you look %.
    For example, the rise from 0.25 to 0.34 is almost 50% up. So let Batb alone.
