  • In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.
  • From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for  live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  • Steve

@Michele – Dante is struggling with his sexuality and he is disturbed by how turned on he is by the firemen.

  • THE OLD MAN

Reruns of NCIS & LA almost took their respective hours

B99 top rated sitcom for FOX proving NG is pretty much permanently deflated

TG didn’t beat NG for a third week & TW falls to season low as KW just fills out space

CW impresses, but may be inflated

NBC takes night as CF matches last week’s season low & NO NET CAN DO A 2.0!

  • psychic

So much for all the Beliebers who promised they would “boycott” Supernatural.

  • Mary

Jared Padalecki called out Justin Bieber on some of his latest antics, and the “Beliebers” fans were threatened to get Supernatural canceled, so we SPN fans asked our friends and fellow fans to pass the word to get more people to watch last night. :-)

Overall, I thought the episode was great. I loved Cain, he was awesome!

  • Ram510

Wow not 1 show last night was over a 2.0, is this going to become the new norm?

  • John A

Wow CBS repeated well with NCIS duo.

  • HeadlessHorseman

Go B99! Those ratings are well deserved. And Fox wasn’t preempted either!

  • Nasir

Hope TO & SPN hold! Too great episodes last night. The Originals is killing it right now in terms of storyline and character development. If only TVD can do the same. & SPN has definitely found its groove after a lackluster Season 6 & 7.

  • Ultima

    @Pat
Does Dante actually think people care what he says

    Yes, obviously.

    Exhibit A – You.

If you didn’t care, you would simply ignore him.

  • Lise

    Wooooohooooo SUPERNATURAL IS AWESOME. *.*

  • TT

@Mae – The total viewer numbers are a bit higher for Supernatural but not a lot. We average 2.10-2.50 million viewers.

  • Shepherd

Pure conjecture, but i suspect FOX promoted their Tuesday lineup and B99 heavily during Sunday’s game. Additional viewers probably tuned in to see the golden globe winner and sample what all the fuss was about. I expect numbers to fall back to normal numbers next week.

I surprised CF didn’t drop more this week; they really are trying too hard to cross promote CF and CPD.

It’s too bad The CW was preempted, those would be nice numbers otherwise.

  • Darcy

Wow so many trapped in their homes due to snow, and no network average above 1.9? Baaaaaaaad!

  • Mary

The low numbers across the board, do you think people are watching Netflix?

  • Leon

WOW! Brooklyn 99 beats New Girl, I knew it was coming and I’m a HUGE New Girl fan! FOX has something with both shows and the SuperBowl should help boost both shows!

  • sinataslimy

spn wow highest rating in years
    super high last night
and it was an awesome episode
    hope it gets a season 10 :)

  • TT

TVBTN just posted that last night’s Supernatural was it’s most watched in 3 years. :) I really hope it doesn’t adjust down with those preemptions.

  • THE OLD MAN

    Baby Biebs wants SPN cancelled?

Ahh, youth. I must say, I missed that one. What happened?

  • DougF

    @TT

Actually CW put that out. Tvbythenumbers is just relaying it.

  • Jordan

Yeah Brooklyn Nine-Nine! That’s a massive jump that it deserves.
