The Vampire Diaries Episode 503

via press release:

THE Vampire Diaries returned from hiatus with its 100th episode last night, and delivered the series’ most watched (2.7M) episode since 11/14/13, and its best rating among W18-34 (1.7/5) since 11/14.

It was TVD’s highest rating among female teens (1.9/7) and total teens (1.2/4) in nearly a year, since 2/21/13.

Versus its last original episode on 12/12/13, TVD was up 10% in total viewers, up 10% in A18-34 (1.1/4), up 21% in W18-34, up 14% in W18-49 (1.6/4), and up 36% among female teens (1.9/7).

TVD was #2 in the hour among both W18-34 and female teens, behind only American Idol on Fox, and tied for #3 in A18-34 and A18-49.

REIGN also grew versus its last original, up 13% in W18-34 (0.9/2), its best rating in that demo since 11/14/13. It was up 20% in A18-34 (0.6/2), up 17% in A18-49 (0.7/2), and up 11% in W18-49 (1.0/2).

Is this something to really brag about…? November 2013 was not that long ago.

I thought ratings would be stronger for their 100th episode.

According to the headline, and part of the sentence, it was the best since November 2014. Either time is running backwards or they can see into the future.

Wow, the highest ratings in 2 months, with several weeks off for holidays? Amazing CW! Keep up the good work PR department.

  • HeadlessHorseman

Since 2014? Can the CW see into the future?

  • Shepherd

Sara is really having a bad day; which is saying a lot!

It truly must be hard to find good help these days…

Normally I think the posters are too hard on the editors, but…really?

Oh give it a rest complaining already about the grammer.

^Yeesh, time to stop obsessing over teen soaps and crack open a literacy book!

I think 11/14 is referring to November 14th, which is a Thursday, same night the show is on. Still, the headline still needed a proofreader and the article isn’t necessary since the show was off most of that time.
