Carrie will be renewed, I’m not worried :)

  • Matt M.

OUTSTANDING for SharkTank and 20/20! Pretty good for Last Man Standing too!

ABC should really consider launching a NEW DRAMA behind SharkTank at 10:00 next year, at least for Midseason!

    @Timmy G

Last I heard that script was nearing a pilot order. I’m curious to see if The CW would go with it despite the genre lineup they currently have.

  • Timmy G

@Eve, well I had optimism for it getting renewed if it could muster a .4 again for the previous episode and then a .4/.5 for the final, but that would have meant 3 out of the 5 new shows this season would have had to rate a .5 or lower by the time they ended. Even that scenario doesn’t seem likely to happen, but it gave TCD a brief bit of hope. .3 though makes me accept reality.

  • JJF

The Neighbors might as well play out it’s order. Nothing else is gonna do any better there. Shame, it’s a funny show. They might wanna try Suburgatory there next season. If it can at least pull a 1.2, it could be a steady slot-holder until LMS gets to syndication and ABC can ditch that comedy hour.

  • Sarah

I’m so proud of Bones. :)

  • HeadlessHorseman

That’s an awfully bold declaration given how terrible TCD’s ratings are, even for the CW.

And what evidence do you have that shows the CW decides their renewals on W18-34 and not on A18-49?

  • Timmy G

@Dave, interesting….I think Pedowitz wants to have at least one pilot a season that’s a bit different from the rest to give the network a little variety, and this seems to be the piece he keeps pointing to (which I’m ecstatic about, because it sounded like the best non-genre project from the get go). Of course the actual pilot could suck so…This season that role obvious went to Reign, even though it still has genre elements it’s more medieval drama and certainly different from the rest of this year’s crop.

    @ Charmed

I don’t watch The Carrie Diaries but I think it can be Renewed. Hart of Dixie won’t do any better on that night (around 0.3). The CW needs some stability on Friday and TCD is not a total disaster there.

  • Timmy G

The right show can do fine on Friday. With DVR’s the rest of the week is slowly starting to have comparable ratings. I’d be very surprised to see Who’s line NOT get at least a .5 in Carrie’s slot. Thus Friday might actually benefit HOD with that lead in. Thus, Monday’s are probably going to turn out to be the worst rated night for the CW come March.

Psst to all those pushing ‘Carrie’ in front of the bear…’The Carrie Diaries’ was a more cost efficient buy in W18-34s last week than ‘Reign’, ‘Hart of Dixie’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Arrow’ and ‘The Tomorrow People’.

    W18-34 CPMs in Week 18
    1. ‘Vampire Diaries’ $97
    2. ‘Originals’ $106
    2. ‘Supernatural’ $106
    4. ‘Carrie Diaries’ $116
    5. ‘Reign’ $124
    6. ‘Beauty and the Beast’ $161
    7. ‘Hart of Dixie’ $164
    8. ‘Arrow’ $236
    9. ‘The Tomorrow People’ $604

Such a cost efficient W18-34 delivery means targeted young women have beenb messaged to as planned, no make-goods, happy advertisers, contented sales department and starved bears.

Just saying…no bear market for ‘Carrie Diaries’ this year, bears out there…look for other CW delicacies, or just hibernate until next year.

@Dave Pedowitz said “there will be a point of over saturation of genre and will move to family shows. Were nearly there”

    Go Bones! Go LMS!

Does Enlisted have a pulse?? #twoseasonsandanewprojectforgeoffstults

  • Jon

I still don’t understand why the audience that watches last men standing don’t stick. Around to watch the neighbors. Is there something on cable at 830 on Friday. I cant recall.

  • Marc

Enlisted is quite funny. Just finished watching the first 2 Eps on On-Demand.

Never understood the move for Neighbors. Shark Tank and 20/20 have stayed consistent since last year, but I think the pairing of TN with LMS is a poor choice. Last year the sitcoms went well together and probably helped each other a little bit.

Also impressed with Bones, even-though I stopped watching that about 2 years ago (hard to watch shows once they hit 6 years).

  • David

I really think re-runs of Malibu Country would do better then The Neighbors!
ABC are fools for not renewing Malibu!!

  • Stan T.

Too bad they don’t count Netflix…a number of people I know are watching Last Man Standing on Netflix, and not watching it on ABC…wonder how many others are doing the same thing? They either need to make it an hour long, or get something that does well to run either before or after…too many channel surfers after 8:30.

  • Carl

I guess a PR person could try to spin it as having nearly 3x the ratings of Carrie Diaries!

  • 69RoadRunner

Yeah, those last 14 seasons of Law & Order were tough to watch. ;-)

  • Dahne

I am rooting against hope for Enlisted. Funny with heart. The best of both worlds.
