New York, NY-- (January 28, 2014) -- Multimedia entertainment studio Electus, an operating business of IAC (Nasdaq: IACI) and 5x5 Media, today announced that “Bet on Your Baby” has been renewed by ABC for a second season.  The game show, hosted by Melissa Peterman (star of ABC Family’s hit show “Baby Daddy”), challenges parents to try to predict their child's next move in an effort to win money for their child's future education.  ABC has ordered eight  episodes for the new season.

“We are thrilled that ABC has decided to renew “Bet on Your Baby” for a second season,” said Electus CEO Chris Grant. “This show has continued to build momentum both in the U.S. and around the world, proof that Electus is achieving its mission to create engaging television.”

    What? Can’t believe it.

  • Oliver

    Not a surprise as they were casting for contestants recently. I wonder if this is a stepping stone for ABC to start programming Saturdays again.

    I wonder when the last time a primetime non-sports/news magazine show got renewed on Saturday?

    @Patrick Ausgewahlt

    I forgot all about Cops. To be fair, I’m pretty sure most of the American public had too…

  • freakinalex

    Second season? This show had a first season?

  • Ram510

    Yay! This was a great family show on Saturday nights

    I still won’t forget that this beat an original Smash in the timeslot at least once.

    Isn’t this heavily funded by Walmart? That’d sure explain the renewal.

    I am shocked right now. Even more so if ABC’s foolish enough to put this back on Saturdays over the summer.
