Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast. For more information see Numbers 101 and Numbers 102.

HIMYM was so good! Sad, but very good! Best episode all season! I watch CBS from 8-10 now that Sleepy Hollow is gone (M&M was actually pretty good last night too, so I guess the revamped formula is working for them)! Blacklist amazing as usual I do hope these upcoming weeks go by quickly!

  • Hardline_Pro

Wow, too bad for The Following. :(

  • Nick

Woah. No bueno for The Following, hopefully it adjusts up just a little. Regardless of the drop, it’s still good for Fox. Very good for Mom and 2BG.

  • r0ckmypants

@grey – “I must have missed something in the scheduling. I thought “Castle” was going to be new last night.”

ABC delayed the episode by one week a few days ago. No explanation why.

  • Tommy M.

That was one of the best episodes of HIMYM they’ve ever done. I’m glad it’s ratings went up pretty significantly.

  • Charles

Wow, I am shocked by the jump for Intelligence. Definitely didn’t expect to see that.

  • david

Wow CBS had a great night. everything wen way up from last week for them. Great to see 2 Brode Girls at a 3.0 again.

  • ludotv

The Following’s season low was a big drop but last week’s Sunday airing was an anomaly with the lead in it had. Last season it already dropped to 2.1 so Fox should be happy if it doesn’t go too often under 2.0.

Intelligence seems pretty doomed though premiering mid-season against an established/’hit’ show like The Blacklist was always going to be an uphill battle as their audience overlaps a lot… Still The Blacklist is not doing that good now either with 2.5…

  • CBSviewer

CBS is up thanks to HIMYM. It was a great episode.

    The Following :(

  • HalCapone

Intelligence rising on CBS is an oxymoron.

  • SJ

Honestly, is anyone really shocked about The Following? Without a doubt one of the worst shows I’ve ever laid eyes on. Which is a shame, considering that it started out pretty well and has (well, had) a great cast. They killed like half of them.

HIMYM was very touching and sweet and even made me tear up about the death of a character we had never seen on screen. It’s episodes like this that are going to make me miss this show when it goes off the air.

Too little too late for Intelligence.

I knew since last friday that Castle would be a rerun. ABC pushed the new episode one week so it would land on the sweeps – apparently the previews for that episode are great (I read the toughts from 3 reviewers who already saw the screener and all are saying it´s a truly great one)!

  • Dan

@ludotv, how is 2.5 for The Blacklist “not doing that good”? Name me any network that would not kill to have a show get 2.5 at 10:00 PM? Name me any show on any network other than Scandal that does better at 10:00 PM?

  • PurpleDrazi

CBS up across the board. I knew HIMYM would rise but I didn’t expect the rest of the schedule to go with it.

Nice to see The Blacklist inching back up. Hollywood game night needs to go.

  • rick

Yes, maybe people are getting tired of non-stop serial killers and other murder for fun shows.

  • hello

Guess HIMYM’s landmark episode boosted the whole night for CBS

  • Seth

    Outstanding for The Blacklist.

  • Dan S

Uh Oh, The Following apparently doesn’t have as many followers as before. Barring a total ratings collapse it should likely see a season 3.

  • zerg

Grammy’s Halo? We’ll see next week. Th following tanked hard, how low it would have gone without the football boost..Great for the blacklist the first hit show launched by the voice
