What other FOX dramas have made it to 10 seasons? The only one I can think of is 90210

  • starh

I’m still hoping for a future for Almost Human, even if it’s moved to Friday nights. A rep confirmed that it was always going to be a 13-episode season, like Sleepy Hollow; not getting a backorder doesn’t necessarily indicate that it’s done.

  • grey

I think the “rumor” about it being its last season is true so FOX, in essence, doesn’t really care what it does on Mondays. It has a strong fan base so even if it doesn’t dominate it doesn’t matter much to FOX because it’s ending anyway. It’s sort of like them saying, “Next!” and then to “Bones,” “Don’t let that door knob hit ya on your way out.”

  • grey

    @ Charmed

I think “The X-Files” made it to 9 and of course “The Simpsons” is on season twenty or something? It’s like the modern day “Gunsmoke.”

  • steven

    @Charmed

    It was just 90210.

  • Charmed

@steven wow that’s an amazing achievement!

  • Sammy01

@Grey – That is some horrible logic you have there. If Fox intended season 10 to be the last and they had made up their minds on it they would leave it on Friday. I cant ever think of a show moved from Friday for its final season, it is always the opposite.

Right now I think Fox is very much in the see where they are and what Bones is doing stage as to whether it goes past season 10. As long as David and Emily want to do it and it isn’t too expensive then Fox wouldn’t cancel it for the sake of it. Especially when you look at how everything else is doing.

  • HeadlessHorseman

Will this be the final season?

If Fox doesn’t plan on renewing Almost Human, I just hope they had time to notify the writers before production wrapped up so they could give this awesome series and its fans some closure.

Law & Order moved from Friday to Monday during its final season (even though it was thought to return for season 21).

  • sara hempstead

I hope almost human gets renewed

  • Richard

Just as it seemed to have gained back its audience on a Friday…

I’m thrilled about the move and the new season though. Very few dramas can last a decade and maintain such high quality writing.

  • grey

    @ Sammy01

My “horrible logic” is on par with that of most TV excutives from my TV watching experience – and I’m only half joking. :-|

    Will see come May 2015.

    @ Sammy01

    From SVU:Hannibal

    “Sammy01
Law & Order moved from Friday to Monday during its final season (even though it was thought to return for season 21).”

    Booyaaa! :-)

I’m not saying it makes sense, I’m saying TV execs. make strange decisions because all they do is look at the numbers and not the actual people and fans watching a show. And I’m not even a big fan of “Bones.”

  • HeadlessHorseman

    @starh
Phew! Good to hear that Almost Human was always meant to be 13 episodes! I was worried that the de facto cancelled prediction would pop up on next week’s index.

  • HeadlessHorseman

I don’t get why some people are complaining about Bones’ move back to Mondays. This is just speculation, but I think that Bones could have actually found some new fans in its Friday time slot that might follow it back to Mondays.

  • Sammy01

@SVU and Grey – Don’t you only make my point though, the only show you can name was going to be renewed. So at this point it would be reasonable to say Fox has thoughts on Bones lasting beyond 10 seasons.

I’m not saying it will make it past 10 seasons, I can see it for various reasons not coming back for 11, but Fox is obviously not ready to for sure to put the final nail in its coffin or it would surely stay on Friday and being such a long running show be announced as a final season.

  • Jamie

I’m happy for those Bones fans who still watch. I stopped a while ago because it has gotten really bad. Hopefully it’s a final season

  • Cuttler

I could have swarn that I had read that Bones would be on Monday for the fall, then Friday for the winter then back to Mondays in the spring way back at the start of the season. I guess I’m wrong since no one else had made mention of it so far.

  • Sarah

Yay Bones!! :) I know it’ll more than likely be the last one, but I’m gonna enjoy this for a while.

  • Alvar

Disappointing that they keep moving Bones around in the schedule. If FOX intended on renewing Almost Human, it would have received a back order, or renewed for a second season already. I’m taking this as de facto cancelled.
