Last year a 1.5 was terrible for Nashville this year it something to celebrate Really ? I love Nashville but a 1.5 simply isn’t good enough for a sophomore show that quite likely has an expensive cast and location.

Nashville, keep going up!!! It’s a great and much improved show that deserve another season.

  • Drew

Wow.. Strange considering here in Atlanta, they postponed it to Friday morning at 2:05am because of all this bad weather coverage. Heard it was a good episode.

  • Fred

One of the best eps of the season.
Improved drastically from early on this season.

The music and performances are spot on.

    Go Nashville!

You do realize that the network average changes every year right? And what’s considered bad one year can be considered good the next?

And given all of the massive flop dramas ABC has premeired this season (Wonderland, The Assets, Killer Women, Lucky 7, Betrayal), I’m sure that 1.5 looks a lot more appetizing.

    Go Nashville!

  • danny94

@ Serfer TJ- Yes I am well aware the network average changes every year, and guess what Nashville is below abc’s average :)

  • Fred

Even if Nashville is under the network average it still should be renewed.
It is a 10:00 program where expectations are lower.
ABC has so many flops this year that a show in the mid 1s at 10:00 is not the most urgent problem.

I realize I’m biased because I’m a huge Nashville fan, but I’m also a big fan of OUAT WONDERLAND which should most certainly end this season.
Obviously Thurs 8:00 was a big factor in the ratings for the OUAT spinoff. But too late to rectify that problem.

    ABC biggest issues:

SUNDAY- 9:00-11:00 the 10:00-11:00 slot is the most troublesome for the night.

TUESDAY- 9:00-11:00 the 9:30-11:00 ratings are especially terrible. 10:00-11:00 is a disaster.

WEDNESDAY- 8:30-9:00 and 9:30-10:00. Yes I know 10:00-11:00 isn’t ideal, but again, more serious issues at hand.

THURSDAY- 8:00-9:00. One of the biggest challenges for ABC.

    FRIDAY- 8:30-9:00.

    @ Fred
hmm… I agree that Nashville isn’t abc’s biggest problem, But I still cant see why abc would renew it, as I said earlier Nashville seems like an expensive show to produce due to cast location and music.
And lets be honest Nashville is performing about the same as the third season of body of proof was and abc cancelled that despite it being cheaper to produce

All that being said, Nashville is on the incline. Plus those total playback numbers are counting more and more. I’d say with repeats as a laed-in – a MAJOR ,arket like Atlanta, out of the ratings, and a growth from week to week, particularly, in the key demo… ABC may be watching this one very closely… in a positive light…
