Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2014 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Definitions:

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    @Amanda Kondolojy

    I’m pretty sure the viewer numbers for Bones are wrong.

  • Brad

    Hope already has a syndication deal.

  • DenverDean

    It’s too bad CBS is ending UB season in mid-March, it’s clear UB helps boost the entire line-up. Season high for H50. No Grimm helps.

  • John A

    Blue Bloods and H5O doing great. CBS must be happy. TCD finally gone then. What will CW air next friday?

  • Mike

    Good for abc.
    No Grimm benefit CBS and abc,

    Half hours from MediaInsight. Dateline and ST were able to gain demo after the lead in . The rest dropped.

    I wouldn’t be surprised if tcd was renewed…wasn’t it getting 0.3′s and 0.4′s at the end of last season on Mondays and got renewed…I don’t know why those ratings would get it cancelled on Fridays…I don’t watch it, but I wouldn’t say it will definitely be cancelled…

  • John A

    Spn a great reliable repeat performer only doing 1 tenth less than a new Carrie.

  • Patrick Ausgewahlt

    Most viewed episode of Blue Bloods since the pilot!

    Most viewed Hawaii 5-0 since the last episode after the AFC Championship.
    Most viewed since the season 2 finale in total viewers

    (I KNOW total viewers don’t matter! I’m just saying it is impressive for both)

  • Poppy

    Hey TVBTN, what’s up? Masked Scheduler and Gaupe (Fox Exec) quoted Bones views at 6,814,000.

  • John A

    Spn repeat got a 0.4 at half hour. Might adjust up to match TCD lmao.

  • Blubells

    Why are people saying TCD is gone? is it really? And about no show to fill fridays, well, when starcrossed premiers it will move to monday and Hart of dixie to friday i think.

  • Ben

    @Matt M

    The CW has plenty of stuff for Fridays. Hart of Dixie, one of the freshman shows, Whose Line Is It?, ANTM and so on. They don’t need TCD.

  • Andrew21

    I hope enlisted gets a super bowl ad..

  • Ed B

    TCD lost 200,000 viewers in half an hour. LMAO.
    TCD = The Canceled Diaries

  • THE OLD MAN

    @ Amanda

    Sorry so many bloggers mistook your “best-since-season-premiere” to mean “season high of” 1.1.

    Maybe it’s an age thing?

  • david

    Yes Raising Hope has been sold into sindication and It will start airing on local stations and on WGN America this fall.

  • Steph

    I haven’t watched much of TCD, S2, but I did watch the last few minutes of the finale, and it felt very much like a series finale/nicely wrapped up… didn’t see any cliffhangers. I’m guessing the producers either saw the writing on the wall or were told by network to wrap. Agree with Ben that CW has plenty of stuff to move to Friday.

  • DM

    Why do people think that TCD deserves a renewal? Yes it got a few 0.4s but is everyone forgetting that it also earned some 0.2s this season as well? Those are not renewal numbers, even for the CW. There are 2 freshman shows on the bubble, BOTH with higher ratings than TCD and 2 yet to premier. TCD only has 26 episodes aired at this point so it would take 3 more full seasons to reach syndication. Get past it, the show is dead!

  • HeadlessHorseman

    TCD will adjust down. Half hours were .4/.3. Not that it matters, the show’s been dead for a while now. The CW has plenty of shows to put on Fridays next year so they don’t need this loser.
