VIMN Extends Programming Deals with French Canadian Broadcasters for MTV & Nickelodeon Programming

VIMN THE AMERICAS EXTENDS PROGRAMMING DEALS WITH LEADING FRENCH CANADIAN BROADCASTERS
MusiquePlus, VRAK TV, Télé-Québec and YOOPA among Broadcasters to Continue Featuring Hit Viacom Content Targeting Kids and Young Adults
Miami, Florida; January XX, 2014 – Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) The Americas announced today that MTV and Nick fans in Canada will continue receiving access to their favorite content, following the extension of longstanding programming deals with leading broadcasters in the French Canadian market including MusiquePlus, VRAK TV, Télé-Québec, and YOOPA. The announcement was made today by Adeline Ferro, Vice President of International Program Sales for Viacom International Media Networks The Americas.

Deals include Quebec-based music and entertainment channel MusiquePlus, which will continue offering young adults a diverse programming slate including popular reality series such as 16 & Pregnant, Pimp My Ride, Punk’d, Teen Mom, Jersey Shore, and Snooki & JWOWW, as well as the annual MTV Video Music Awards.
Longstanding partner of over 15 years, VRAK TV remains home to Nick’s leading animated series SpongeBob Squarepants and Fairly Odd Parents, and continues to broadcast live action series which include Big Time Rush, iCarly, and Victorious, as well as most recent acquisitions Sam & Cat and The Haunted Hathaways. Also in the mix are Nick TV Movies such as Swindle and Fairly Odd Christmas, to name a few.
Public educational TV network, Télé-Québec, will continue to air Nick Jr. content such as bestselling animated series Dora the Explorer and Go! Diego Go! while most recently established preschool Nick partner, YOOPA, also airs kids animation programming including Team Umizoomi, Bubble Guppies, and Kung Fu Panda, among others.
