“NCIS,” “The Big Bang Theory,” “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “The Beatles: The Night That Changed America – A Grammy Salute” Are the Week’s Top Non-Olympic Broadcasts

 

Beatles Special Averages 14.05 Million Viewers on a Highly Competitive Sunday Night

 

The 200th Episode of “Criminal Minds” Delivers its Largest Audience Since May 2012

 

“NCIS: Los Angeles” Posts Best Ratings Since the Season Premiere

 

CBS placed second in a week that included four nights of Olympic coverage with five of the top 10 broadcasts, including the top three non-Olympic programs, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Feb. 9, Week 20 of the 2013-2014 season.

 

CBS’s top 10 broadcasts include NCIS (#5), THE BIG BANG THEORY (#6), NCIS: LOS ANGELES (#7), THE BEATLES: THE NIGHT THAT CHANGED AMERICA –  A GRAMMY SALUTE (S) (#8) and CRIMINAL MINDS (#10).  CBS had 12 of the week’s top 20 programs – more than the other networks combined.

 

NCIS, THE BIG BANG THEORY, NCIS: LOS ANGELES and THE BEATLES: THE NIGHT THAT CHANGED AMERICA – A GRAMMY SALUTE (S) were the week’s top non-Olympic broadcasts.

 

In adults 18-49 (including ties), CBS had three of the top 10 broadcasts – THE BIG BANG THEORY (the week’s top comedy), HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (the week’s #2 comedy) and NCIS (the week’s top drama) with 2 BROKE GIRLS, NCIS: LOS ANGELES and CRIMINAL MINDS (tied as the week’s #2 drama), MIKE & MOLLY, THE MILLERS and MOM rounding out the top 20.  CBS had more top 20 programs than any other network.

 

CBS Weekly Highlights:

 

THE BEATLES

·         THE BEATLES: THE NIGHT THAT CHANGED AMERICA –  A GRAMMY SALUTE (S) (8:00-10:30 PM) averaged 14.05 million viewers (14.05m), 3.5/07 in adults 25-54 and 2.1/05 in adults 18-49.

 

CRIMINAL MINDS

·         The 200th episode of CRIMINAL MINDS posted its largest audience (12.92m) since May 16, 2012 (two-hour, season seven finale) and matched season highs in both adults 25-54 (3.8/09) and adults 18-49 (2.8/07).

 

NCIS: LOS ANGELES

·         NCIS: LOS ANGELES was first in viewers (16.30m), adults 25-54 (4.0/09) and adults 18-49 (2.8/08), with its best deliveries in these measures since the Sept. 24, 2013 season premiere.

 

NCIS

·         NCIS was first in viewers (19.53m), adults 25-54 (4.5/11) and adults 18-49 (3.1/09).  NCIS posted its best adults 18-49 rating since Oct. 22, 2013.

 

Prime averages are based on the following hours of rated broadcasts in Week #20:

 

CBS – 22 hours

NBC – 21 hours

ABC – 22 hours

FOX – 15 hours
