Friday CBS syndication warehouse residents and are in their fourth seasons, and the sees no reason why they won't make their fifth. He put in the headline last week, so gets it this week.
Some chided the bear for stating the obvious when he had certain to be renewed in the headline last week. The bear would remind the chiders that search engine results do not discriminate against the "obvious". Because of that, every show gets at least one headline a year, since fans will search for them!
The announcement that CBS would air 8 NFL games on Thursday (or 7 on Thurs and one on Saturday, the bear's not sure) next year was met by a frenzy of questions and lots of guesses about what they might do with their Thursday line up. Since only 5 or 6 of those Thursday games will be during the broadcast season, CBS may not cancel more shows from the current season than they otherwise would have, which is all the bear cares about. As for what they do with their scripted show scheduling, again, likely not much, but about that the bear couldn't care less.
From now through the end of the broadcast season in May, the Renew/Cancel Index values will only be calculated using new episodes airing during 2014.

The Renew/Cancel Index is the ratio of a scripted show's new episode adults 18-49 ratings relative to the new episode ratings of the other scripted shows on its own network. It's calculated by dividing a show's new episode Live+Same Day adults 18-49 average by the Live+Same Day new episode average of all the new scripted show episodes on the show's own network. The network's average ratings in the calculation are not time weighted (ex. hour long shows are not weighted twice what 30 minute shows are).
(F) -Fridays: Shows airing on Fridays were renewed with significantly lower than average Indexes.
