Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon

The latest chapter in the late night wars begins tonight when The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon debuts. Thanks to the Olympics, it will premiere at midnight, which on one hand will mean fewer potential viewers than its regular 11:35PM time slot but on the other should provide a strong lead-in, assuming that viewers stick around after their Olympics-filled local news. Fallon has huge opening night guests: Will Smith and U2.

Back in 2009, the premiere week of The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien averaged a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating. The first week of Jay Leno’s return to The Tonight Show in 2010 garnered a 1.5. The final episode of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon notched a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating. So how well will Jimmy do tonight? Make your prediction!
