Network Goes Social for Saturday’s College Hoops Coverage with
Alumni Twitter Chats and Much More
CBS Sports Network’s college basketball coverage this weekend includes four games on Super Social Saturday, Saturday, Feb. 22, beginning with a Big East matchup between Marquette and DePaul (2:00 PM, ET). Tom McCarthy and Alaa Abdelnaby call the action from Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill. LaSalle at Richmond follows at 4:00 PM, ET from the Robins Center in Richmond, Va. Brad Johansen and Steve Wolf announce.
Action continues with UTEP at Southern Miss (6:00 PM, ET). John Sadak and Chris Walker handle the call from Reed Green Coliseum in Hattiesburg, Miss. Saturday’s live action concludes with a Mountain West matchup featuring UNLV at Boise State (8:00 PM, ET). Rich Waltz and Bob Wenzel announce from Taco Bell Arena in Boise, Idaho.
Also on Saturday, CBS Sports is encouraging fans to use the hashtag #CBSSuperSocial for all social activity relating to CBS Sports programming. CBS Sports announcers and CBSSports.com writers will interact with fans on Twitter throughout the day, answering questions on-air and providing commentary from @HOOPSonCBS, as well as their individual accounts.
College hoops coverage on CBS Sports Network continues on Sunday, Feb. 23, with a doubleheader highlighted by SMU at *No. 21-ranked UConn (2:00 PM, ET), who are currently tied for third place in the loss column of the American Athletic Conference standings. Dave Ryan and Pete Gillen call the action, along with reporter Sullivan. Sunday’s action tips-off at 12:00 NOON, ET with a Patriot League contest between Bucknell and Boston University at Agganis Arena in Boston, Mass. Jason Knapp and Chris Spatola announce.
Studio coverage throughout the weekend is hosted by Brent Stover, who is joined by analysts Steve Lappas and Wally Szczerbiak, as well as insiders Seth Davis and Jon Rothstein to provide pre-game, halftime and post-game coverage, along with news, highlights and analysis from across the country
