NASCAR & UFC BOOST FOX SPORTS 1 TO NEW TOTAL DAY RECORD

Boosted by NASCAR and UFC events, Saturday, Feb. 15 was a record setting day for FOX Sports 1, according to audience information issued today by Nielsen.  On a total day, 6:00 AM-6:00 AM basis, the channel averaged 964,000 viewers, smashing the previous total day record (522,000 on 10/19/13) by 85%.  It also marks the seventh-highest day in FOX Sports 1 or SPEED history.

Anchoring the day was NASCAR’s SPRINT UNLIMITED which averaged 3,526,000 viewers in prime time, making it the most-watched program on FOX Sports 1 since launch, easily surpassing FOX Sports 1’s previous audience record of 2,179,000 million for the Oregon State-Oregon college football game on 11/29/13.  It is also the most-watched program on either FOX Sports 1 or SPEED since last year’s Sprint Cup All-Star Race delivered 3,679,000 viewers.

Following the SPRINT UNLIMITED, the UFC FIGHT NIGHT headlined by Lyoto Machida’s decision over Gegard Mousasi scored 1,400,000 viewers making it the most-watched Fight Night since the channel logged 1,782,000 for its first-ever UFC event on 8/17/13 and third most-watched UFC event in FOX Sports 1 history.
