Univision Network Ranked No. 2 in Primetime For Week Among Adults 18-34 and No. 3 For Adults 18-49, Out-performing ABC and CBS

 

For Both Demographics, Univision’s Highest Rated Week Season to Date

 

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights - Week of February 17, 2014 to February 23, 2014

 

·          For the entire week (M-SU), Univision ranked #2 versus the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, or FOX) among Adults 18-34 and #3 among Adults 18-49, placing #4 or higher on each night for each demographic.

 

·         On Monday night, Univision ranked as the #3 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 and #4 among Adults 18-49, out-delivering CBS in each demographic.  Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 15 programs for Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.  

 

·         On Tuesday night, Univision ranked as the #3 broadcast network among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC and CBS in each demographic.  Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.  

·         On Wednesday night, Univision ranked as the #3 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 and #4 among Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC in each demographic.  Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

 

·         On Thursday night, airing “Premio Lo Nuestro,” Univision ranked as the #2 broadcast network among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC, CBS, and FOX in each demographic.  The awards program averaged 4.6 Million Total Viewers 2+, 2.4 Million Adults 18-49, and 1.2 Million Adults 18-34.

 

·         On Friday night, Univision ranked as the #2 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 and #3 among Adults 18-49, out-delivering CBS and FOX in each demographic.  Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

 

·         On Saturday night, Univision’s special telecast of “Aqui y Ahora” (Here and Now), focusing on the arrest of drug kingpin “El Chapo,” helped the network rank #2 for the 10 p.m. hour among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.  The telecast averaged 2.7 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.3 Million Adults 18-49, and 554,000 Adults 18-34.

 

·         On Sunday night, Univision ranked as the #3 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 and #4 among Adults 18-49, out-delivering CBS in each demographic.  Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 15 programs for Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

 

ü  At 7 p.m., Univision aired a special edition of “Aqui y Ahora” (Here and Now) focusing on drug kingpin Griselda Blanco. “Aqui” posted increases over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (2.8 Million, +65%), Adults 18-49 (1.3 Million, +91%), and Adults 18-34 (484,000, +85%).  The telecast also helped Univision rank as the #4 broadcast network for the hour among Adults 18-34.

 

ü  At 8 p.m., “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty) saw increases over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (3.3 Million, +19%), Adults 18-49 (1.7 Million, +30%), and Adults 18-34 (773,000, +41%).  The telecast also helped Univision rank as the #3 broadcast network for the time period among Adults 18-34 and #4 among Adults 18-49.

ü  Following at 10 p.m., simulcast on Univision, UniMás, and Galavision, was the premiere of telenovela “La Viuda Negra” (The Black Widow).   The telenovela averaged 3.8 Million Total Viewers 2+, 2.1 Million Adults 18-49, and 1.1 Million Adults 18-34.

 

·          Univision’s 8 p.m. telenovela “Por Siempre Mi Amor” (Forever Yours) helped Univision rank as the #3 broadcast network for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-34 and #4 among Adults 18-49.  The telenovela saw growth over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (2.7 Million, +7%), Adults 18-49 (1.2 Million, +9%), and Adults 18-34 (561,000, +6%).

 

·         Univision’s 9 p.m. telenovela “Lo Que Vida Me Robó” (What Life Took From Me) helped Univision rank as the #2 broadcast network for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-34 and #3 among Adults 18-49.  The telenovela averaged 4.1 Million Total Viewers 2+, 2.0 Million Adults 18-49, and 965,000 Adults 18-34.

 

·         Univision’s 10 p.m. telenovela “Qué Pobres Tan Ricos” (The Poor, Rich Family) helped Univision rank as the #2 broadcast network for the hour (M-F) among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.  The telenovela averaged 3.1 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.8 Million Adults 18-49, and 790,000 Adults 18-34.
