WXTV UNIVISION 41 NEW YORK RANKS NO. 1 NEWSCAST AMONG ADULTS 18-49 IN FEBRUARY SWEEPS

 

NEW YORK – FEBRUARY 27, 2014 – WXTV’s “Noticias Univision 41” (Univision 41 News), the New York area’s premier Spanish-language newscast, is the top rated 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscast in New York among Adults 18-49, regardless of language, outperforming  all other local news competitors, including WABC, WNBC, WCBS and WNYW-FOX.

 

In addition, Univision Network’s national evening newscast “Noticiero Univision” (Univision News) airing weekdays at 6:30 p.m., is the No. 1 network news program in New York, according to the February 2014 sweeps.

 

WXTV UNIVISION 41 NEW YORK HIGHLIGHTS:

 

·         Anchored by Adriana Vargas and Jorge Viera, “Noticias Univision 41” weekdays at 6 p.m. ranked No. 1, averaging 123,000 Adult 18-49 viewers.

 

·         In the 6:30 p.m. network news race, “Noticiero Univision” with Jorge Ramos and Maria Elena Salinas ranked No. 1, averaging 133,000 Adult 18-49 viewers.

 

·          “Noticias Univision 41” with Adriana Vargas and Jorge Viera, airing weekdays at 11 p.m., ranked No. 1 in the late news race among Adults 18-49, averaging 175,000 viewers, beating WABC, WNBC*, WCBS and WNYW-FOX.

* WNBC late news only includes telecasts which ran from 11:00 pm – 11:30 pm
