Resurrection ABC

Tonight the drama Resurrection premieres on ABC. The show is about what happens when people in a small town come back from the dead. It  is not a remake of the French drama The Returned, about people in a small town who return from the dead, which aired on the Sundance Channel though it is based on a novel called The Returned. Confused? Imagine how you'll feel next season if NBC picks up its pilot Babylon Fields which has the exact same premise. In Resurrection's favor: it has the return of Once Upon A Time as a lead-in and has been heavily promoted. Working against it: ABC's poor track record with midseason dramas. Killer Women, Mind Games and b have all bombed. Resurrection also has the added difficulties of competing head-to-head with both The Walking Dead and the premiere of the documentary series Cosmos which is being simulcast on FOX, National Geographic Channel, FX, FXX, FXM, FOX Sports 1, FOX Sports 2, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Mundo and FOX Life. The season premiere of the previous owner of ABC's Sunday at 9PM time period Revenge garnered a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating. Its most recent episode which followed a new Once Upon A Time earned a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating. So how do you think Resurrection will do?
