FOX NEWS MOST WATCHED FOR BREAKING NEWS COVERAGE OF FORT HOOD SHOOTING
FOX News Channel (FNC) was the most watched cable news channel in both total viewers and adults 25-54 during last night’s primetime coverage of the Fort Hood shooting. FNC had 2.1 million viewers and 446,000 adults 25-54, ahead of both MSNBC and CNN.
FNC’s Bret Baier anchored the 6PM hour when the news broke, garnering over 1.8 million viewers and 272,000 adults 25-54 audience. Shepard Smith anchored the 8PM/ET hour with special live news coverage followed by The Kelly File and Hannity, which each won their respective hours in total viewers.
