‘Game Of Thrones’ Season Four Premiere Sets New Series Record

The fourth season premiere of Game of Thrones delivered a series-best 6.6 million viewers, making it HBO’s most-watched program since The Sopranos series finale in 2007. With two encores Sunday’s tally grew to 8.2 million viewers.

Silicon Valley premiered at 10p to around 2 million viewers, up big from last year’s 1.2 million for Veep. Veep meanwhile was down to 955,000 viewers which was even a bit lower than last year’s season finale (985K).
