“CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR” LOOKS “BEYOND THE GREEN” ON SATURDAY, MAY 3        

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR presents BEYOND THE GREEN: BUILDING FUTURE LEADERS and BEYOND THE GREEN: TRANSFORMING LIVES THROUGH GOLF produced by the PGA of America on Saturday, May 3 (2:00-2:30 PM, ET and 2:30-3:00 PM, ET, respectively).  CBS Sports’ Bill Macatee narrates the two half-hour specials, which show how golf and PGA Professionals have nurtured future leaders and transformed lives. This year’s edition provides a look back at some of the fascinating stories along with a review of PGA Junior League Golf and Get Golf Ready. The Junior League Golf segment showcases Team Indiana’s journey to the 2013 PGA Junior League Golf Championship at TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, Ga. and highlights the team’s special bond both on and off the course. One of the GGR segments features two young women from Charlotte, N.C., who discovered golf through GGR, and recently became first-time mothers. The other GGR segment focuses on U.S. Olympic decathlete and world-record holder Ashton Eaton. Popular segments from last year’s telecast featuring PGA Professionals Will Robins, Ira McGraw and Jim Estes also are going to be replayed. CBS Sports’ Andy Freedman serves as coordinating producer.

 

“CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR” TAKES FINAL LAP AROUND TRACK ON SUNDAY, MAY 4

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR takes a look back at all the thrills, spills and moments that made the 2014 Supercross season one of the best yet as it presents 2014 SUPERCROSS YEAR IN REVIEW on Sunday, May 4 (12:00 NOON-1:00 PM, ET).  Supercross fans get an exclusive look back at this exciting season as well as race highlights and interviews.  Jim Jalaka narrates the special for CBS Sports. CBS Sports’ Brian Seeling serves as coordinating producer.

 

“CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR” BATTLES THE BULLS ON SUNDAY, MAY 4

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR broadcasts the Professional Bull Riders 15/15 BUCKING BATTLE on Sunday, May 4 (1:00-2:00 PM, ET; taped 5/2-3/14). The PBR returns to its hometown, Colorado Springs, Colo. for the Built Ford Tough Rumble in the Rockies.  The event features the sixth and last 15/15 BUCKING BATTLE before the series takes a break for the summer.  The top 15 bull riders meet the top 15 bulls in a special round of competition, which not only offers an additional $21,000 in prize money and double the valuable points needed toward the 2014 PBR World Championship title, but also features the bull Shepherd Hills TestedFabiano Vieira, the current No. 2 man in the PBR world standings faces the 1500-pound bull and can take home $25,000 if he lasts eight seconds. So far, current PBR World Champion, J.B. Mauney, is the only man who has ridden the bull. This weekend’s competition also includes the return of Asteroid, the 2012 PBR World Champion Bull. Craig Hummer, Ty Murray, Leah Garcia and Shorty Gorham call the action for CBS Sports. CBS Sports’ Alanna Campbell serves as coordinating producer.
