‘CBS Sunday Morning’ Posts Year-to-Year Gains in Adults 25-54 and Viewers

“CBS SUNDAY MORNING” IS THE #1 SUNDAY MORNING NEWS 

CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD posted  a +8% year-to-year gain in adults 25-54 – the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news – and was up +15% viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for May 11, 2014. CBS SUNDAY MORNING was the #1 Sunday morning newscast in adults 25-54 and viewers.

 

CBS SUNDAY MORNING was watched by 5.99m viewers and posted a 1.4/08 with adults 25-54. Compared to the same day a year ago, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +8% in adults 25-54 (from a 1.3/07) and up +15% with viewers (from 5.20m).

 

Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +6% in viewers (6.00m from 5.67m) and even in adults 25-54 (1.5/07) compared to last year.

 

Sunday’s broadcast featured Rita Braver’s report on the changing makeup of the American family; Tracy Smith’s profile of actor Seth Rogen; Anthony Mason’s interview with former Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner; Faith Salie’s report on trends in eyebrow grooming; and Charles Osgood’s chat with famous chefs about meals inspired by their mothers.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 ET) on the CBS Television Network. Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
