TELEMUNDO’S “LA VOZ KIDS” SECOND SEASON FINALE RANKS #1 AMONG SPANISH LANGUAGE BROADCAST NETWORKS DELIVERING OVER 2.6 MILLION TOTAL VIEWERS

 

The Grand Finale Ranked #1 Among Adults 18-49 in Los Angeles, Regardless of Language, and #1 Among All Spanish-Language Stations in New York, Miami, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, San Francisco, Phoenix and Philadelphia

 

MIAMI – June 10, 2014 – The finale of Telemundo's second season of “La Voz Kids” ranked #1 among all Spanish-language broadcast programs on Sunday night delivering 2,630,000 total viewers, +18% over its closest competitor, according to Nielsen. The emotional episode averaged 1,223,000 adults 18-49. In addition, “La Voz Kids” ranked #1 in Los Angeles, regardless of language, among adults 18 to 49 and #1 in New York, Miami, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, San Francisco, Phoenix and Philadelphia, among all Spanish-language stations in its time period.

 

On a social level, “La Voz Kids” ranked as the #1 Most Buzzed about program on Hispanic networks, regardless of language, during last night’s finale. It also ranked as the #2 Most Buzzed about program on broadcast, regardless of language. Season to date the show has generated 5.2 Million impressions on Twitter.

 

During the grand finale #TeamRoyce's Amanda Mena was named the winner of the second season of the popular singing competition. Hosts Daisy Fuentes and Jorge Bernal announced the 11 year-old girl from Lynn, Massachusetts as the winner, in a much anticipated finale that featured performances by International music star David Bisbal, Regional Mexican act Calibre 50, and Coach Roberto Tapia, who premiered his new single, “Mi Niña.” Selected by the audience vote, Amanda will receive a recording contract from Universal Music Latin Group and a cash prize from AT&T consisting of $50,000 to support her education, plus a $10,000 cash price from the Chrysler Corporation.
