“CBS SUNDAY MORNING” IS THE #1 SUNDAY MORNING NEWS PROGRAM WITH ADULTS 25-54 – THE DEMOGRAPHIC THAT MATTERS MOST TO THOSE WHO ADVERTISE IN NEWS – AND VIEWERS
CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD posted a +22% year-to-year gain in viewers and was the #1 Sunday Morning news program with viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for June 22.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING averaged 5.69 million viewers and a 1.3/08 with adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +22% in viewers (from 4.66m) and even in adults 25-54.
Television year-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +5% viewers (5.94m from 5.63m) and even in adults 25-54 (1.5/07) compared to last year.
Lee Cowan anchored Sunday’s broadcast, which featured Anthony Mason’s behind-the-scenes look at Harlem’s legendary Apollo Theater; Mo Rocca’s profile of actress Melissa McCarthy; Serena Altschul’s report on the history of denim; Lee Cowan’s look at the benefits of doodling; and Tracy Smith’s interview with comedian, talk show host and author Chelsea Handler.
