mun2 PRESENTS INTERNATIONAL SOCCER FRIENDLY BETWEEN 2013-2014 BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE RUNNER UP LIVERPOOL AND AS ROMA
UNIVERSAL CITY, CA - July 22, 2014 - mun2, the modern general entertainment cable channel for Latinos, will broadcast in Spanish one of the highly anticipated soccer club friendly matches this summer when AS Roma takes on Barclays Premier League stalwarts Liverpool live from Fenway Park in Boston on Wednesday July 23 at 7:25 P.M. EST / 4:25 P.M. PST. Soccer analyst Sammy Sadovnik and former Mexican National Team player Manuel Sol will call the match.
This march will be Liverpool’s first game in the United States this year as the team begins preparation for the 2014-2015 season. Liverpool looked for their first League title since 1990, but ended up second in the Premier League last season, finishing behind winners Manchester City by two points. The Reds also gained entrance into the UEFA Champions League for the first time since the 2009-2010 season. The squad coming to the U.S. is led by captain Steven Gerrard and will include new signings Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Emre Can and Lazar Markovic.
The teams will be playing in the iconic Fenway Park for the second time after their meeting in 2012 in front of a sold out crowd of over 37,000 fans, where Roma went on to win 2-1.
