The CW has yanked summer scripted series Seed and Backpackers from its schedule, effective immediately. Both shows launched in the United States on the CW's website for digital programs, The Seed and moved to the CW this summer. The network has not announced whether the remaining unaired episodes will stream online. Both series aired for just two episodes.

Monday night, Seed earned a 0.2 adults 18-49 rating while Backpackers garnered a 0.1. An earlier CW sumer series, Famous In 12, was also pulled from the network's schedule before completing its run.  Next week The Young Hollywood Awards will air in the time period. On August 18, America's Next Top Model will take over the timeslot.
