Univision Finished as the No. 1 Broadcast Network for the Week Among Adults 18-49 and 18-34

 

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of August 4, 2014 to August 10, 2014

 

·         Univision finished as the No.1 broadcast network for the week among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.  This marks the third consecutive week where Univision ranked No.1 among Adults 18-34.

 

·         Last week, Univision increased its primetime audience (+13%) compared to the same week in 2013 while FOX (-14%) and ABC (-9%) reported audience declines in the key Adult 18-49 viewers.

 

·         Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-Language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on six out of seven nights last week among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

 

·         For the entire week, Univision aired 15 out of the top 25 primetime programs on all of broadcast television among Adults 18-34 and 11 out of the top 25 among Adults 18-49.

 

·         Univision was the top-rated broadcast network during primetime for the fifth consecutive Friday among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.  Also, Univision had the top 3 programs on all of broadcast television with “Lo Que La Vida Me Robo” (What Life Took From Me) in first-place followed by “Mi Corazón es Tuyo” (My Heart is Yours) in second-place and “Qué Pobres Tan Ricos” (The Poor, Rich Family) in third-place on Friday night across these two key demographics.

 

·         Univision’s “Mi Corazón es Tuyo” (My Heart is Yours) generated strong week-to-week audience gains among Adults 18-34 (+10% to 937,000). The novela also made Univision the No.1 broadcast network during the Monday to Friday 8pm to 9pm time slot among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49 for the second consecutive week.

 

·         Univision captured the No. 1 broadcast network ranking during the weeknight 9pm hour among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49 with “Lo Que La Vida Me Robo” (What Life Took From Me), which delivered its best weekly performance this past week with 4.3 million Total Viewers 2+.

 

·         “Qué Pobres Tan Ricos” (The Poor, Rich Family) helped Univision rank as the No. 1 broadcast network during the Monday to Friday 10pm to 11pm time slot among Adults 18-34 and No. 2 among Adults 18-49.  The novela averaged 3.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.8 million Adults 18-49, and 856,000 Adults 18-34.

 

·         On Saturday night, Univision’s “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) made Univision the No. 1 broadcast network for the entire night among Adults 18-34 and No. 2 among Adults 18-49. Also, the show saw strong growth over the previous week among Total Viewers 2+ (+27% to 2.1 million), Adults 18-49 (+37% to 802,000), and Adults 18-34 (+37% to 332,000).

 

·         Univision’s entire Sunday night lineup ranked within the top 15 most-watched programs on broadcast television among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.

 

ü  “Aqui y Ahora” (Here and Now) helped Univision rank as the No. 3 and 4 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, respectively, in the 7-8pm hour.  Also, the show saw increases over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (+16% to 1.5 million), Adults 18-49 (+43% to 784,000), and Adults 18-34 (+92% to 309,000).

ü  At 8 pm, the finale of “Bailando Por Un Sueño” (Dancing for a Dream) saw increases over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (+15% to 2.4 million) and Adults 18-49 (+11% to 1.1 million).

ü   “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper) helped Univision rank as the No. 3 broadcast network at 10 pm among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.
