‘Orange Is the New Black’ is the Number One Trending Show on Google for the Month of July
Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black was the number one trending show on Google in July, moving up one spot from last month. The Bachelorette, which aired its season finale in July, rose from number four to number two. Game of Thrones fell from first place to third place. It was followed by The Walking Dead that climbed 5 spots to #4. Keeping Up with the Kardashians grabbed the number five spot.
The biggest gainer was Teen Wolf, which soared from seventeenth place in June to eighth in July.
Though it’s on its summer hiatus, Family Guy still made the cut, coming in at number twelve, one up from last month. Though new episodes of Boy Meets World last aired in the 1990s, the newly released spin-off Girl Meets World has piqued interest in the show once again. It ranked thirteenth.
Several popular summer shows dropped in the rankings. Pretty Little Liars fell three spots from June to sixth place. True Blood dipped from sixth through ninth. SpongeBob SquarePants fell from fifth to seventh place. The Simpsons suffered the biggest decline, falling from tenth to sixteenth.
New entries in top twenty include Dragon Ball Z , The Legend of Korra and Episodes.
