‘Sleepy Hollow’ renewed for Season 4 at FOX
“Sleepy Hollow” has been renewed for a fourth season, despite low ratings and the loss of one of its stars at the end of this season.
FOX announced the pickup Friday, confirming speculation that the show’s corporate ties — it’s produced by the network’s sister studio, 20th Century Fox TV — would help save it. It was the network’s lowest-rated veteran drama this season, averaging a 0.8 same-day rating in adults 18-49. It scored a 1.3 in Live +3 ratings and a 1.4 in Live +7.
The renewal will push “Sleepy Hollow” to a total of 60-plus episodes over four seasons, which will likely make it a more attractive property for a syndication or streaming afterlife.
FOX says the Season 4 cast will be led by Tom Mison, Lyndie Greenwood, Lance Gross and Jessica Camacho. As for the story, the network says it will focus on “the search for truth about the lives of Witnesses.”
