‘Rush Hour’ canceled by CBS after a single season

“Rush Hour” has been pulled off the streets at CBS.

The network has canceled its low-rated rookie drama after one season. The show will play out the remainder of its episodes into early summer and then will be done.

The move comes shortly after CBS renewed three of the five scripted series that had been in limbo: “Code Black,” “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” and “The Odd Couple.” The only remaining show is “Limitless,” which may not have a future at CBS but is reportedly looking for a new home (for what that’s worth, not always much).

The end of “Rush Hour” comes as little surprise. It tied with the canceled “CSI: Cyber” as the lowest-rated show on CBS this season, averaging a 0.9 same-day rating in adults 18-49.
