The 2015-16 TV season is (mostly) in the books — DVR data will straggle in over the next couple weeks, but the same-day numbers are finalized and below.

For the fifth straight year, NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” was the No. 1 show in adults 18-49, averaging a 7.5 rating for the official Nielsen-measured season. (Shows with an asterisk next to their name in the chart below include ratings for in-season airings only, not those before Sept. 21 or after May 25.)

“Empire” was by far the top non-NFL show with a 4.4 rating, seven tenths ahead of “The Big Bang Theory.” Way down at the other end of the chart, “America’s Next Top Model,” “Reign” and “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” all averaged a 0.3 to tie for the lowest mark.

The chart below includes 18-49 averages for all original episodes of shows on the five English-language broadcast networks, including those coded as specials. Series from summer 2015 that ended after the start of the regular season and irregularly scheduled sports specials are excluded.

Look for more season-ending ratings charts as the final data for delayed viewing comes in.
