‘Idiotsitter’ gets a second season at Comedy Central
Comedy Central has renewed “Idiotsitter” for a second season. The series stars Jillian Bell and Charlotte Newhouse as a wealthy heiress and her court-appointed guardian. Bell and Newhouse also serve as executive producers.
“I don’t know what it is about that title, but it just resonates for me …” Comedy Central president Kent Alterman says.
Season 1 featured Bell’s character Billie, an Ivy League graduate strapped for cash, answering an ad for a babysitter, only to find that the job is really as a guardian of Gene, a spoiled heiress played by Newhouse. The first season ended in March. Season 2 will find Gene and Billie heading off to a college campus.
“We’re so excited to get to do this again,” Bell and Newhouse say. “It’s literally the most fun we’ve ever had in our lives. Hopefully the new college atmosphere will broaden our minds and teach us how to butt chug.”
The 10-episode second season will premiere in 2017.
