‘Bachelor’ spinoff following Ben Higgins, Lauren Bushnell coming to Freeform
First comes “The Bachelor,” then comes love, then comes “The Bachelor” spinoff, then comes marriage?
“The Bachelor’s” Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell are getting their own shown.
Freeform has greenlit “Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After,” following the ABC reality series’ most recently engaged couple as they prepare for their wedding. Ben will also explore getting involved in politics as Lauren tries to establish her post-“Bachelor” identity.
Fan favorites from “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” will stop by to share their own advice on life after the rose. It’s safe to say current “Bachelorette” JoJo Fletcher, the runner-up for Higgins’ affections, won’t be making an appearance. The series will premiere in October.
“Ben and Lauren are the biggest ‘Bachelor’ couple of the last 10 years,” says Karey Burke, Freeform’s executive vice president of programming and development. “Their romance captured everyone’s attention, and we are delighted to continue their story on Freeform.”
